F/up: After 2 yrs messing with it and unable to drive it, I took my bmw 325i to a mechanic to remove the steering column and replace it. They did it! well, half the job for $1,800. US$ Since they didn't remove the emulator and then coded the new column, it's still screwed up! It runs but other CAS and footwell mods: radio,sound,idrive... are dead! don't work! I'm taking the car back and they better fix it or my lawyer will deal with it. Never a dull moment! I may still have to take it to BMW dealer to get it right! Good Luck with yours! The Emulator is a miracle! Love it.

Great video boi! Does the emulator keep the steering lock permanently disengaged and clear the code? My 09 e92 displays the fault code but runs and is not locked. I replaced a drained battery but red steering lock light is displayed.

Can you provide a link for the emulator you ordered?

Keep in mind, there are times you will still have to reset the ELV counter after an emulator install.

Ok here you go, cas 2 is too old for the software update so you need a CAs 3+ and some one able to clone your vin and mobilizer onto the newer cas with no elv. Just take elv out all the way with the metal lock and delete mechanically and electronically. Then it’s deleted from the car all together.

So, what was the outcome? Still can't drive the car? I have the same problem: Steering Lock on and can't start the car or change from Park (auto transmission) so, I can't move the car. Thanks for the video! My understanding is that if steering is Unlocked then, it'll keep it unlocked but if it is Locked then the emulator won't unlock it. thanks again! Note: I ordered one on ebay.

These cars are bad for this if battery has been drained and car left the steering lock will engage with no way to move the car . There are two devices u need they are both on eBay. Good luck but this fault is not worth owning a BMW they are scrap

I can flash it with software no elv , no need emulator
