Much bigger. Good Magic was about 1100 and 26-16.1. this guy is nearly 1300 and around 17. He inherited the immaculate balance from his sire but great size from his grand sire, Curlin. The very coat comes from Holy Bull which traces to Mahmoud. You won't find a better looking horse out there, like a Justify x Arrogate x California Chrome hybrid.

He reminds me alot of Secretariat. The size, the balance, the stride is incredibly Secretariat like. He is getting super good around now too.

16.3-17. indeed, he is a tank. Justify size but a little more athletic vs bulky body. Weighs about 100 less than Justify did now but Justify dropped from 1360 to 1260 by the Belmont. This guy is about 1260.

For me it’s Reincarnate! He’s by Good Magic out of Curlin, and Good Magic was 2nd to triple crown winner Justify.

Cave Rock does not have distance pedigree and will probably do best at 1-1/16 but not more than 1-1/8. Forte has solid pedigree for the TripCrown distances. My top 3 and dozen favs in order are: 1) Reincarnate, 2) Verifying, 3) Arabian Knight, Cage Match, Giant Mischief, Lugan Knight, Havnameltdown, Forte, Tapit Shoes, Signator, HitShow, and Dubyuhnell

I wouldn’t have high hopes for him in the preakness or belmont though. Jace’s Road certainly has better odds in my top 3 for sure. But forte is pretty high up there. Who knows, maybe we will get another Rich Strike, but it’s highly unlikely. I’m not sure who Arabian Knight is but i can look him up. Because of this video on Reincarnate, i’m interested in him.

@@perlebabin7115 The Preakness is the shortest of the triple crown races at 1-3/16ths mile, Derby is 1-1/4 miles and Belmont is 1-1/2 miles. Arabian Knight won the Southwest Stakes last weekend at the 2nd fastest time of all Derby contenders and is now ranked #1 or #2. I’ll be looking for Jace’s Road, but his breeding screams Belmont distance.

LOL it really is a great pun! I pay absolutely ZERO attention to things like dosage. If you investigate the origins, you will see that it is based on arbitrary guesses with numbers that came out of nowhere. Decades later the whole thing was re-calculated with a whole new set of arbitrary guesses in an attempt to square the theory with the facts. I think you will agree- Some things, like breeding, simply do not conform to mathematical formulas.

The dosage index is based on the performances of a horses family pedigree and the distances that they raced and performed at, not some arbitrary guess. You know as well as I do, that you aren't gonna take a horse that has sprinting blood in it's veins and turn it into a router. However, some routers who have good speed as well as stamina can perform well sprinting also. The dosage index given to a horse is pretty damn accurate to say the least. It's based on facts from the family ancestry of a horse. Although probable, it's more likely 90% accurate. BTW, I'm not talking about TrueNicks, which yes, is a hypothetical mating app. I'm referring to Equibase or Equineline info.. Although I do like TrueNicks as well.

Thing is, as Jay pointed out, virtually all these horses have the same blood. They almost all have triple crown winners and champions in their blood. Take Uncle Mo, this past year he had the Belmont winner and top turf sprinter. Both bred alike but totally different horses. Curlin is known as a router, specifically with the fillies, but produced the breeders cup Sprint winner this year. The greatest factor in determining what the horse will do is their physical, balance and mechanics. Authentic had a sprinters pedigree but Donato Lanni selected him as a Derby colt for a reason. It takes a lifetimes with horses to really develop the eye, there are no short cuts ane never will be. The top horsemen like Lanni and Baffert totally reject dosage index large heart theory and about every other made up rule that thinks they have performance figured out. The knowledge pool on what stallion does what is forever evolving too, hence why most Derby winners come from sires that never won the Derby before, and often never win a 10F graded dirt race even.

@@mikerelva6915 .. There's two sides on a pedigree so your assuming that Curlin and Mo produce both sprinters and routers is irrelevant. You have to throw in the mares family as well to get the end result, so it's not all the sires doing like you think it is. The mares have a big influence as well.

His critics wanted the key to the formula. Since they did have it or couldn't figure it out they decided it was no good. A key pattern emerged here. Modern genetic research has uncovered a surprising ying-yang pattern of "gender imprinting", depending upon the gender of the breeding individual. Stallions whose daughters become great broodmares, like Secretariat, Princequillo, and Buckpasser generally saw their male lines wane in strength, while the bloodlines of Nasrullah and Northern Dancer produced top sires, but never the daughters of top sires. Great racehorses from waning male lines have little chance for success at stud, while more modest racehorses from peaking sirelines often succeed at stud. Northern Dancer and Mr. Prospector both produced more than 100 sons who sired stakes-winners of their own, and many of these stallions were modest racehorses whose greatest virtue was there sireline. . Strong patterns of inbreeding and linebreeding also tend to be a hallmark of top sires throughout the livestock kingdom. Evidently this provides the genetic uniformity needed to stamp their offspring. Surprisingly suceessful sires like Turn-to (3x3--Pharos) and Broad Brush (3x3--Turn-to) are good examples. Even the great Nearco was linebred 5x4x4x5--St. Simon, and the Nearco branch of the Phalaris line still thrives through his male line descendants, particularly Northern Dancer and A. P. Indy (Seattle Slew). America's top sire now is Tapit (Pulpit) who is a grandson of A. P Indy. A.P. in turn is 4x3--Bold Ruler, and 5x5x4--Nasrullah, and Tapit is inbred 3x4--Mr. Prospector. On the other hand, great Triple Crown winners like Citation, Whirlaway, and Secretariat were all rather outcrossed and disappointing at stud. So great racing ability without the right pedigree often disappoints at stud. A little trivia for anyone who,s interested. Tell me how Vuillier dosage was different.

Time will tell. Probably not better now but he is improving. It remains to be seen how long Cave will want too, where as this guy likely enjoys more.groubd owing to his stride and style. Bob calls him his Belmont horse.
