The later model 940's did not have this problem. Their is a Kenwood mod for this, I did one that I picked up at a hamfest a month ago.

Where do you find the best collection of repair tips on these 940s? I've been catching up on all your repair vids and considering a replacement for the 940 I gave up long ago. Thank much.

Check out this website but wait for sales. k6iok.com/. Also look for the link to the group bulletin board. I know I've posted The link to others but I don't have it handy right now. There are some knowledgeable people on that group.
