Honestly think this is the best explanation of KB snatches I've found on YT and I've watched a lot as I find it difficult to get the synchronisation correct. Thanks man, much appreciated.

if you cannot complete more snatches solely because your grip and hand is cramping, are you doing it wrong?
@stormrider1119
@stormrider1119 2 жыл бұрын
@@bobdole7292 sounds to me like you just need to build up gradually, doesn't necessarily mean you are doing it wrong. For snatches at the start I would only be doing say 3 to 5 at a time until I got comfortable with them. As with everything kettlebell related it just requires regular practice and you soon improve.

snatch has got to be one of the more intimidating movements wrt kettlebell training for those not formally trained by someone who knows what they speak. Thank you for your guidance. The baby step of snatching down sounds perfect, can't wait to try it.

I’m in my early 70’s and I’ve been practicing KB workouts for about 2 months. I weight 166 pounds, my upper body is not too strong. I use a 25 pound KB doing squats and clean and press and hand to hand swings and American and Russian swings... I would like to practice the clean snatch. What weight should I use? I know that 25 pounds is too heavy for me at this time for the snatch.. thanks

I would build up your strength first before you move into the more complicated movements, get good at two and one have swings, cleans, gettuos, and the press and then, after you are really comfortable and confident with those movements, move into the snatch

Amazing video as always!!! You’re my absolute go to for all things kettlebell, Mark!! The only thing if I may point is, your camera person could work on his/ her recording skills a bit... some of the main movements and angles are just out of the frame... so whilst you do explain them so amazingly, it’s really hard to see them in the video. But thanks anyway. 👍 you’re the best.

Hey Mark, this is really an amazing tutorial and it helped me do some snatches for the first time so a really big thanks from me! Can you please help me with something? It seems that your technique resembles more the hardstyle of snatching. Is there any chance of you giving tips on the girevoy sport snatch? It looks really efficient and nice to train. There quite a lot of videos, but none have explanations as good as the ones here.
