This video is about 4 things you must do if you like a guy. If you like a guy and you want to give yourself a chance you have to follow these rules to protect yourself and maintain your self respect. Trying to get a guy to like you can be hard when you sacrifice your own dignity. If you have a crush on a guy don’t let it cause you to lower your standards. It won’t make him like you. So many women lose control over themselves when they like a guy and want him to fall in love with them. Remember these 4 rules.

Not always easy. Standards & emotions do fight for position. Often potential partners play on the position struggle 2 the tune of.... "What's the least they can get away with" exhausting anothers emotional intelligence in the process.

Just because I like a guy, that doesn’t mean that he likes me back. My feelings have no bearing on how he acts, so I just watch what he does. If he doesn’t act like he likes me like I like him, I feel sad, but I don’t do anything about it. I cry alone and move on. I don’t want to get attached to someone that I love and doesn’t love me.

It’s really hard for most people to be mad at themselves. Often times it’s easier to be a victim, but often times there are no victims, just volunteers. We don’t want to admit we ignored that little voice warning us. you keep trying and giving, but getting no results. You can only control yourself so don’t waste time waiting for someone to change, or trying to change them. They will change when they put in the effort. It hurts because you wanna be that girl they put in the effort for… But if it’s not happening then do yourself a favor and walk

1. Detach your emotions from your standards. 2. Know why you like him( e.g tangible reasons like how he may treat you, stop imagining and start paying attention so you know real reasons of why you might like him. You might be liking only what you're imagining. 3. Stay out of your own head. Women end up imagining things and start social media stalking etc. What you feel is not always real. You don't have to act out of insecurity and start sending someone a lot of texts because of what you're thinking or imagining. Sometimes the best thing you can do is nothing, people cause irreparable damage. 4. Immediately set the boundaries and the rules when you're dealing with him. Keeping YOU in check is the most healthy thing you can do for yourself in the relationship. Know what you will and won't do for love, to impress a guy. Make sure you know what you're willing to do and what you're not willing to do. Make sure that you hold yourself to your own standards. Notes taken sir, thank you. With love from South Africa. 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦

I was just telling my friend this earlier. I really like a guy, but I’m realistic about how things can end up, since he’s thinking of moving cities. about an hour and a half a way. Not far, but still a transition. I’m not expecting anything. If the guy is willing to go through with a relationship, I’m down. If not, then I have no reason to invest. I’m willing to let him go. This is the first time I’ve really liked someone, while simultaneously knowing the reality of a potential outcome. I’m happy with myself, I don’t need him, love so many thing about him. Never caved into sex, either. We’ll see where it goes.

What’s interesting about both of you ladies experience I’m in that exact space as we speak. Except I’m the one that moved to another state. The reality for me is!!! we were friends first, then we bonded, and after 3 yrs of celibacy on my end I shared my most intimate self with him, all the while knowing I was relocating to another state. We said we would keep in touch although no commitment or committed relationship was established, and we’ve talked about visiting and keeping the lines of communication open, but after a month of being in a different state. I realize I simply just want more, but I also know my reality is it’s not going to happen. I’m heartbroken because I allowed myself to become emotionally attached knowing ultimately we were on two different paths I was moving away... Spare yourself the hurt if you can and if no commitment is made don’t invest anything further emotionally , it hurt waaaay to bad...💯💯💕💕

Thank you ladies for your feedback, it is MUCH appreciated. I’ve been down the same route before and it left me fucking broken, so definitely protecting myself this time around. That’s why I haven’t had sex with the dude, which he’s been incredibly respectful of. But he’s just not pursuing the same, so I’m gonna take a step back. If he pursues, I know where he stands. If he doesn’t, then I know where I stand. ❤️

Gosh, same here. I’m really digging a guy who isn’t putting forth any kind of effort to pursue or date me. It’s disappointing but I refuse to put myself on the line emotionally like how I used to do. I value myself, peace of mind, and body too much to allow a man to toy with my emotions. I really like how Kev said we have to respect our OWN BOUNDARIES first. That’s what I’m doing now. It’s tough, but, it starts with me first and foremost. The right one will eventually cross my path.

1. Detach your emotions from your standards. These two must be kept separate at all times. There's a difference between what you feel and what is real. Don't let your emotions win over your standards, if you do, it will most probably end in tears. Let your standards remain in place no matter how strongly you feel about him. 2. Know why you like him. When a dating coach asks why you like him, you should be able to say why. If you can't list why you like him, it is probably because you made him out of your head. Sorry, not sorry. If it's real, you know why you like him or liked him even if you break up. 3. Stay out of your head. Don't act on your insecurities. Don't be emotional, beg a man, text him, stalk him, etc. out of insecurity because most times your insecurities aren't based on reality. Don't act on your insecurity or anxiety,or you will regret it. Sometimes doing nothing is the best thing. 4. Immediately set rules and boundaries for yourself. Sometimes it's not them it's you in your pursuit to win him over. Your over extensions. What you give freely. And why would a man turn down what you offer for free? People love free s÷!t. Keep yourself in check. Have standards for yourself and uphold them. 😘🙌

Excellent video! I will add this: When we first meet someone we form an "image" of that person in our own mind. The image is ideal and seldom is the reality of who that person really is. Because they can not meet up to the image that we habe created, we feel disappointment and resentment. It is always best to give a relationship time to reveal the true character of the individual before any decisions are made as to their placement in our lives. Sometimes they may not fit at all. No time is wasted. No love is lost.

Love it! Without bashing.. this is the most truthful, honest and powerful advice I’ve heard!! So on point. Thank you Kevin for sharing. After getting out of a short “getting to know you relationship” I found myself fighting with my emotions vs standards. This man spoke a good game & I had been attracted to him for awhile before actually trying to get to know him. You hit on something, trying to find reasons to make him work ( whew I felt that) When he fell short on most of the qualities I looked for in a man, basic simple things, i did that, I started negotiating. Then the struggle within myself began. I was getting more agitated with him or maybe myself because my spirit was telling me he’s not the one ( you know that spirit of discernment)? Not to be ignored. I really had to turn to GOD who never fails, I had to readjust myself. My fear of disappointing GOD became greater & stronger then my emotional ties with this man. I already know what is true... GOD’s love, he wants the very best for me .. there is no confusion in that. Mourning Love ❤️ In any relationship when your fear of disappointing GOD is stronger and greater then your emotional attachment to that person..you will never lower your standards & values for anyone. Always put him first.
