My ex boyfriend had asked me if I had wanted to try and get into a relationship again & work things out after being broken up for 3-4 years. I really didn’t have any emotions towards him but we remained good friends throughout the entire time. He had asked me to go out to dinner a times but never followed through. So I never bothered asking about it & pulled back my energy. Now he’s talking to someone & it has become serious. He called and we had 1 conversation, then he asked to come to my place. I told him I don’t invite strangers to my home. So now I get a txt every other week or so “damn cold shoulder huh?” Or he will ask what I’m doing but never act on anything. I haven’t called his ass once and ain’t thinking about it. When a man offers/messages his number, I simply send mine in response, tell him the times I've avaliable for voice contact ( never after 10pm), and I say, " I look forward to hearing from you. " All that extra stuff, telling him, " I don't chase men/ call 1st, do you want my number?", seems masculine energied and quite combative. Also, if a man is only texting and calling and isn't asking me out, I simply stop the texts and call conversations that we could easily have in person.
