Kevin Smith arrives at the airport in England as JJ Abrams greets him. Abrams: (with an angry and threatening demeanor) "Why you slimy, double-crossing, no-good swindler. You've got a lot of guts coming here after what you pulled." Kevin nervously motions with his hands and points to himself, as if to say "Me?" JJ slowly approaches Kevin and quickly throws a punch towards him but stops suddenly. Kevin flinches and puts his arms up as if to block. JJ smiles, grabs Kevin, hugs him and starts laughing. Abrams: "How you doin', you old pirate? So good to see you!"

No.. Kevin gets all silent Bob on him. Tries to make light of it all like he does to Jay in Jay and Silent Bob (Making fun of Jay kissing Justice's hand) JJ Abrams pauses then bitch slaps him and says "Fuck You Fatty!"

There is something about Kevin Smith monologues that are beyond captivating. This ends on the story of an over weight middle-aged guy, struggling to make his drunk wife reach a full climax, and I still want to hear more of that shit. Great verbal story teller.

Oh wow! How great it must have felt to not only see the millennium falcon in person, but to actually set foot on it! I've had my fears about the new movie for awhile, but after listening to what Kevin Smith has to say about it, my mind is a little more at ease. Star Wars was my childhood, and I can't wait to share the experience of witnessing a new Star Wars film on the big screen for the first time with my son. Opening night, when those lights go down, and everyone cheers in anticipation! Pure exhilaration! I can't wait!

Kevin's so cool. We're the same age, and everything he says about the toys (and the friend I had that had a killer collection of toys happened to be named, Kevin) and the magic of those films .. it all painted an even bigger picture for me ... and WHY I'm 43 and still have boxes of SW toys. Many still mint in box, but usually I buy 2 of each so I can open one a have that magic in my hands. that place where only our generation fully understands .. and yeah, I would've blubbered like a baby. THX Kevin Smith!! and THX to the videographer for posting this.

Advice to J.J. Abrams. First off Don't do anything that has to do with a romantic interest and just flood everywhere in the movie, you know how that went with the prequels. Advice number 2: Less talking and sitting and more adventure, curiosity and action. It was terribly everywhere in episode 1 and 2... And 3. Advice number 3: please don't do make the whole movie to be CGI. And advice number 4... Don't... Do... Lens Flares. Thank you. :) Ok all I'm trying to say is follow what the original trilogy did. Please.
@Wright805

Those were all very good points except the first one: "Don't do anything that has to do with a romantic interest and just flood everywhere in the movie, you know how that went with the prequels." Uh hello, remember Han and Leia? Romantic interests work just fine when done properly. It only failed in the Prequels because of Lucas's inept direction.

Wright805 although in episode 2, 3/4 of the movie was all about Anakin and Padme. that whole picnic, the running and laughing together, sleeping together, marrying each other. talking to each other about their so important secret that they are together. uuugghh. it hurts! and some of the acting and lines were bad.

This is Keven Smith, his opinion has been dead to me since he started doing lawsuits on online comics that do a single scene parody of jay and silent bob, even if there just standing in the background, while saying he supports independant comics. Web comics make no money, there is no point of a lawsuit.
@TheGoldcountry

***** Exactly. People get up in arms about this shit, but a lot of creators just say "stop doing it." The fact that it is small should prove that they aren't looking for cash, they just want control of their own creations. It should be pointed out that "Star Wars" is the perfect example of this- Lucas was willing to give up ANY stake in the original "Star Wars" as long as he maintained ownership of the universe and characters. One of the smartest decisions ever.

Kevin's Phantom Menace Review I saw 'Episode One' tonight. Hee-hee-hee! Ah - being in this business finally pays off. The good folks at the BBC sent me to a press screening, so that I can review the flick next week for them. I offer my new Brit peeps a shoutout for that. Of the film, I can say many things. But the long and short of it is that I liked it - quite a bit. I'd rank it right after 'Empire' in a list of fave 'Star Wars' flicks. It starts great, ends great, and has great stuff sprinkled in between. Is there too much Jar Jar? For a small stretch, yes; but then the Binks quotient calms down considerably. Is the kid bad? I thought he was okay. He certainly wasn't wooden, as some people have suggested. He was a kid actor - no more, no less. I will say that - while it's probably unintentional, his exhuberance juxtaposes nicely against what he eventually becomes in the stories. Is it a puppet-heavy, CGI affair? There's a great deal of it, but not to the point where it's irritating (though the two-headed pod-race comentator was a bit much). I think the key is to go in with low expectations. I did, and I really dug it. Dug it more with distance. I'd see it again. The stuff I liked: Liam, Ewan, Darth Maul (who's in the 2:10 flick for maybe a half hour, tops), R2's introduction, the reappearance of the Tusken Raiders, the treatment of the Jedi as supreme badasses that are to be feared, the political subplot, the fact that Lucas slows the second act way down to introduce Anakin, and of course, the lightsaber battles. The use of the lightsaber in this flick is astounding; worth the price of admission alone. I'm sure in about a week, it's going to become quite fashionable to bash this flick - hard. But I'd like to go on record as saying I dug it. It's a good movie with great moments. Two things that stuck out to me, though: at one point, they refer to 'space'. Has the word 'space' ever been used in a 'Star Wars' flick before? Padme says "Space is cold." It struck me as odd, because I can't recall anyone ever using the term 'space' in the flicks before. That, and the Viceroy of the trade commission. For half the flick, I was trying to decipher his accent - was it Jamaican, French, what? Then it came to me: he sounds like the Czech Brothers from the old SNL (or Steve Martin's 'Wild and Crazy Guy' character). Weird. Anyway, see the flick when it comes out. It's better than half the crap out there, and it's got history on its side. In a world of grades: B+ or A- In a world of stars: 3 or 3 and a 1/2

Its interesting JJ got the job, because Steven Spielberg was Georges first choice to direct the First Star Wars..only was unable to because of of the SGA.
