Good Deed by Bruce Willis -When my children were in elementary school in the Atlanta area down the road was a waterpark (one of the top 10 water parks in the US). -When Bruce Willis came to the park with his family he bought the dippty dot ice cream, which was expensive, not just for his family -but for everyone in the water park. -He was grounded enough to see the price of the ice cream and understand that many children might not get a chance to have that ice cream. I’ll never forget the teenagers working at the park we’re so excited and overwhelmed by the generosity and I was teaching teenagers at that time. He said a very good example that day. This was the summer of 98 or 99 -The teenagers know who bought the ice cream because they worked in the park. It wasn’t in the news or the newspapers. Nowadays teenagers would have been posting about it. It really made the teenagers think that if you became wealthy doing good deeds of kindness makes a difference.

He had Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez give him their opinion on a movie of his . Of the three I think Rodriguez is the most successful because of his movies AND his basic cable channel . To me of the three the best director is Kevin who made a religious movie that was not offensive to the Christian peeps because he's still alive and nobody bugs him about it since it's release . It's the only religious movie I didn't fall asleep watching , which makes him ( to me anyway ) the best of the three .

I just want to give Kevin a hug there. His frustration with Willis was the result of being disrespected as a director; when the director asks you to change up something in your act and you deliberately don't do it you waste the director's time and the crew's time, not to mention blowing up the budget with multiple takes. In short, Kevin's frustration was justified. He had a job to do, and in the moment when you're trying to get the job done you can get frustrated. Was Willis' reticence the result of his illness? We'll likely never know, but Kevin sure as hell didn't know. Had he known I'm sure he would've acted differently. But having that come back on him 12 years later is just a gut punch. But he's big enough to apologize and that says a lot about him.

i've never been big on the pothead humor driven movies (except up in smoke) and never followed kevin smith so it was a whim that brought me here so after listening to him in an absolutely moving way he's shown (me at least) one of the biggest problems with this country/world. we've lost the ability to allow ourselves to be wrong. i grew up when admitting you were wrong was the cornerstone to becoming right . too many people nowadays would rather double down on being wrong rather than admit that they're just like the rest of us and stumble even long after running becomes natural. admitting imperfection doesn't make you weak in fact it's what makes us stronger because you give extra attention to that aspect of life so as not to find ourselves having to relearn the same thing for a third time. personally i think the weakest among us are those who don't see themselves as being wrong about anything because you can only lie to yourself in public when you're alone you see just how small and afraid you truly are.

Kevin always loved Willis . You know from his oath : Jersey represent . He told a story about how Willis did the acting like his Moonlighting character for a certain scene even though Willis didn't like repeating of an act like that . He did it anyway and when they finished the scene Willis said " That was for you Kevin " cool dude

Appreciate his speaking talents - he’s a world class storyteller - but the real lesson here is maybe not to publicly crap on people you worked with. You might never get a chance to apologize. He did the same thing with Prince.

Excellent speech, very touching and wise. (But I must say, those are some of the worst computer-generated closed captions I've ever seen!)

Wow, I've never seen Kevin Smith cry before Narrator: he had, in fact, seen Kevin cry many times prior.

All the nonsense we beings do to each other means less the older you get. Shit gets real when we get sick and suddenly none of that means anything anymore. Unfortunately Kevin knows this lesson well.

Kevin has the biggest heart even if he no longer has the biggest belly to match🤣 well done Sir! But in all seriousness, it really shows the depth of his emotional state when Kevin can put aside his feelings and just let Bruce know how much he respects the debilitating actor.

Sometimes, sufferers will use the wrong word in place of what they meant, like my sister's dad began referring to his bicycle as his car...very painful.

It's so weird because I've always liked cop out, and I never knew it was a Kevin Smith movie until years after the fact. I thought he did a great job just making the movie as it needed to be, not a prototypical "Kevin Smith" movie, but a good buddy cop film.
