Hi Kharax, you should really be using the Ore find Wand mentioned in the questbook i think stone age to find ores, just slap it inside some form of lapis and just walk on the surface at every center of 3x3 chunks so you can very very easily find what you are looking for

You could grow a giant redwood or magic sequoia (whatever) on top of your existing base and grow out/up/into it from there. I grew a couple of the magic ones and put forestry farms nestled on top of them. it looked nice enough. I am always thrilled to get cells from a loot bag. I can't believe you threw those away. lol.

You can put the new Backpack in a special slot and access it via hotkey. It's just a little tricky to get to the slot. So... 1. assign a hotkey to "Open Backpack" from "Backpacks" (not Adventure Backpack). 2. hit Shift+'hotkey' 3. The upper slot is where the backpack is going. 4. The other slots are filters for automatically put items in the backpack when picking them up 5. The filter is great when handling the Super Tanks, as they can be generally filtered and don't give you Hunger when picked up by the backpack On a side note, the Forestry backpacks can be emptied into inventories with sneak+rightclick. This also works with Drawers.

You can use the NEI search for the map nodes for ores too.

You don't need to farm the paperbark tree. You can just keep one log and spam it with bonemeal (if you have quantities of it).

I feel the same with building nice stuff, I always want to do something nice and look up some images but at beast I end up with some colorful square boxes :/

@Kharax82 Yeah design your own tree by hand with tree houses in them and maybe have some of them connected by flimsy bridges and some you need to swing yourself to like a jungle man

those minigames actually have op rewards for early game, especially if you get minesweeper and know how to play it. the memory one seems bugged/too difficult since it throws a totally new combination at you after 3/4 and no idea how you memorize that without cheating or being a memory champ

it's funny to see you struggle to find lapis, cuz I'm following along with a playthrough of my own, but I have way too much lapis, lazurite, and sodalite speaking of, since you have experience with the pack, does lapis/lazurite/sodalite have any use early game? or at all? cuz if not, I kinda wanna toss it lol

Have you considered the ore finder wand? It's pretty nice when looking for a specific thing. On my playthrough it was a lifesaver for finding a diamond vein.
