oh my goodness this is my favourite kiln load so far! beautiful ceramics!
A big thankyou to Dave Hartley and Bubamara for the music.
Apologies for the light fading I think it was due to me having the camera facing the door.

Hi Jeanette, thankyou so much for your wonderful comments 💖 I challenged myself to do 3 kiln openings in January and I did it 😁 exhausting but worthwhile. I am super proud of my gluggle jug, I use my moulds quite a lot and just wanted to prove to myself that I could do something that was throwdown worthy. I was super excited this kiln opening for some reason, maybe because I had to wait a couple of days to film it. I know, that last bowl I am totally in love, same combo as the cracked bowl in the last opening but that was white clay and so much lighter, love how you can get so varied results, it makes it a surprise every time. Thankyou again for all your support iteans so much ❤️ ♥️

If you asked me a year ago to watch a pottery video on Wednesday night I would have laughed and now I just enjoyed one at midnight 😁 You are definitely making some new pottery fans! All of those were just outstanding and I want to buy them all! I learned one more thing today - Julia Loves almost too much glaze 🤭

That blue bowl! The glug glug jug is amazing. I recently made some tiny owls with divots (For the feathers) similar to upside down fish scales. I put manganese wash in the divots and then wiped it back and glazed them with honey flux. They are gorgeous. I wish I could post a photo here for you. They are so cute I have to keep them.

Hello there, Kay from Mud and Labardors here. Brilliant creations as usual. Those big bowls! 😍 and June Bug sphere 😮Plus the Gluggle jug is even more awesome on the big screen! I think he looks like a Koi carp so maybe red, white and black for glaze? Definitely going to try one (now I have almost finished my roast dinner set from week 1) Need to find you on Instagram to check out how you did the spheres. Speak soon xx

Wow, brilliant pieces again. The glugglejug is fabulous, reminds me of a Koi Carp I can see that in orange and white. A tutorial on a smaller version would be great. Do you use a stamp to create the cobblestones or are they cut freehand. That last blue bowl is out of this world, what a brilliant combo.
@ceramicsbyjulia8552
@ceramicsbyjulia8552 5 ай бұрын
Hi Derek, thankyou so much 😊 the cobblestones I put on individually and the smooth the inside. I am working on a tutorial for the glugglejug 😁 I love the last bowl, Nat at MudMagic tried it though and didn't get the same result so it needs thick coats, lots of oatmeal and a good hold to get it moving. 😊

Hey Julia! I’m so happy I found yr channel. I’ve binge watched all yr vids over the last 3 days so all caught up! I’m going to borrow yr last big blue bowl combo in my next kiln unload vid! You have inspired me to play more with oatmeal, I always tend to turn to light flux. I wouldn’t recommend celadons on yr buff clay fish I think u would be disappointed. I see him orange, red, white tones like a koi fish. Nat @ Mud Magic xx
@ceramicsbyjulia8552
@ceramicsbyjulia8552 5 ай бұрын
Hi Nat thanks for watching and supporting, I binge watch your videos too 😊 love the banter with you and Trace. Yeah I'm not going to do celedons but your idea of Koi colours does sound good. Look forward to seeing the blue combo in your next kiln load to see what you get out of it, when I'd did it in kiln 19 it was the cracked bowl and on white clay it was much lighter, the big one in the last opening was in rich toasted so seems to have given it more depth. What clay will you be using? I am interested in finding a pink combo so going to look back at some of your pinks for inspiration. Thanks again for watching 😊

Hi Kelly I did 4 coats and my kiln goes to 1190 with a 30 minute hold. I think that is a hot cone 5 nearly a 6. I think it also depends on your schedule mine fires a medium schedule.
