The 2024 Kimera EVO37 (€680,000 EUR starting, $726,998 USD converted, $974,250 CAD converted) is a restomod based on the legendary rally icon, the Lancia 037. Built by Kimera Automobili in Italy, every Kimera EVO37 is custom designed for their owners. It is constructed from an original donor car from ages past, but brought into the new era with modern tech and engineering. A unique turbocharged AND supercharged four cylinder engine sits just behind the driver, creating over 500 horsepower through a manual transmission. It also has double-wishbone suspension on all four corners and an absolutely striking road presence.
In other words, the Kimera EVO37 looks to blend the raw driving experience of ages past with just enough comforts and engineering from the modern world. But does it live up to the task? Thomas and James are excited to find out! We hope you enjoy the episode! Subscribe!

The 037 was famous for not just winning Group B with the Lancia Team, but it was also the first and last RWD drive car to beat an AWD car in rally as well, since Lancia was up against Audi and the Quatro.

Man, the filmography on this has just about reached top gear levels, and I'm not saying that lightly. You guys are, truly, the best youtube car channel. I can tell because I watch almost all of them, or at least the ones above 150000 subscribers. It's not even close, there is nothing that comes near your presentation, humor, knowledge, filmography, production value, likeability,... Nothing. Even channels with 5 times the subscribers do not produce the quality you guys produce. You really need your own TV show, though that could also ruin the format because you would have to answer to a media company. Please keep going, I'll keep watching your episodes religiously. Sidenote, for those that don't yet know: there's also an "extra throttle house" channel. Go subscribe, it's worth it

*Jaw hit the floor* what a gorgeous machine! It is soooooo freaking cool!! Yes it's a little over the top in styling but it's also about as elegant as an Italian gentleman in a handmade suit. What car has widened wheel arches like that and somehow it looks like they are not added afterwards? The mix of straight and curvy, the stance, the paint vs carbon, the proportions, the detailing in the engine bay, the 3d striped interior padding... it's freaking awesome!!!

This is probably the coolest (not intended because of the A/C)? car you've ever reviewed! I wouldn't opt for the donor badge though. Also, don't know about the door opener. Both colors were awesome!

This is my unattainable dream car. When I first learned about the car, I had this teeny tiny hope that it might be something that would be very available. I knew it wouldn't be but I had hope. It pains me to see anything about this car now. It's so wonderful, and I'll never even see on in real life, sit in one, or much less drive one. This is car perfection.

The main reason why I still have my first car. Nothing beats the raw engagement of an actual drivers car. I was able to enjoy driving her alot more during those early days. Nowadays though, with so much traffic everywhere, it's only taken out on sunny days on a low volume traffic weekend. 🙂 Kudos to Kimera for offering some variety to the landscape. 👍😎
