Not just Christians. Anyone who lives their convictions, as long as they don’t hurt anyone else, is worthy of admiration. There are so many people faking it, and especially to see young people who walk the walk is very encouraging.

Being a present stay at home mom beats sitting in a corporate office cubicle any day of the week! Staying home and tending to the kids, and husband and being there for them and making a house a home is a blessing! 🙏 Wouldn’t change it for the world! 🥰🥰🥰

agreed... taking care of your family and home is the most important 'job' you will ever have. And from one who does not have children of her own, working in the corporate world (or any job) is repetitive and can be boring as well ! A lot of the negative comments come from people who are jealous because they feel they 'can't' stay home -- but if they did the math as it applies to their budget and eliminate some 'wants' that they have as 'needs'... they probably could stay at home ... or at least get a part time job ....

Being a happy, healthy mom is the best for your family. I am not a great SAHM, I don't feel like myself and it's just not a fit for my personality. I'm still a good mom. The best me works outside the home and if I'm the best me, I can be the best mom to my kids and STILL make a house a home.

As a single parent, I take care of my home, work from home, and homeschool my son. So a lot of home! It’s easy to occasionally slip into feeling like those responsibilities with which I’ve been blessed are “chores.” Thank you for the reminder to see and fully experience all of the joy to be had inside our homes!

Thank you SO MUCH for talking about how homemaking can be fulfilling and fun! Nowadays everyone seems to think that being a homemaker or stay at home mom is some kind of oppressive task. 🙄 I LOVE being a stay at home mom. It’s definitely not easy, but I don’t want to miss a second of my son growing up. And I want to create a warm home for my husband to enjoy after work as well. Absolutely nothing wrong with that! ♥️

I played this audio over my car speaker while picking up my son from work then picking up my daughter from school. (She’s doing her final semester at a school with an arts program after being homeschooled k-12) I find it so sweet and nostalgic listening to your videos. They remind me of that lovely season of life! And good for you focusing on the joy/enjoying the season you’re in! In no time you’ll blink and be where I’m at: 4 kids ages 23, 20, 17, & 14 being shocked that I’m planning a homeschool year for only 1 child!!! My husband and I were 20 & 21 when we started dating/got married and I love that we share our entire adult lives with one another. Enjoy these last days with that sweet boy in your belly! You’ll be in my prayers as you transition to holding him in your arms ♥️

You are absolutely right "don't rain on my parade". I found more and more joy in all things home related as each child was added and the work load increased. I found enjoyment in being able to do special things for each child like making their favorite foods and doing special things with them. I seemed to thrive on the chaois that a full house creates. When "he" comes home you should always greet him with a smile, happy children and a good home cooked meal. Your job is not easy but oh so important. He should look forward to coming home to his family and the wonderful home that you have created for that family. You are the best Kim...

Hey girl, I really love your attitude towards a life with Christ as a house wife and soon to be mom❤️ I have always struggled with finding joy in my work as a wife. I know I should but, I just hate the monotony especially now that I have a huge family to care for. Can you give me some tips on how to get my heart right so that I can find joy in my work? You are such an inspiration to me I and pray that you always keep your joyful attitude even when you’re family is larger! You’re such a blessing to watch🥰

I am also a Christian homemaker/wife with 3 littles and a fourth blessing on the way. I totally agree with you that house chores can be a joy depending on your attitude and the way you look at all the work. I look at it as a way to serve God and my family. If I cook a meal and my family enjoys it, it brings me so much joy that I can be a blessing to my family in that way. Some days are hard, I won't lie. But I try to find the good things in every day and stay positive.

Having 3 sons and a husband to cook for and clean up after brought me so much fulfillment. I always felt like I wanted to do the best I could with as much enjoyment as I could for the family God had blessed me with. Our oldest son moved out on his own last year, and the laundry pile has shrunk, and i dont have to cook as much. I miss it already ! Philippians 2:14 . I never wanted to complain in front of my family and make them think taking care of my home and family burdened me in any way. It is a pure joy!

I pray you have a very safe, healthy and positive birthing experience! Also that God gives you the strength to endure the pain and unknowns as they come, with an open heart. I know your faith is strong, and God has you covered as well as that perfect little boy. I pray for Darrel as he prepares to be a father and a husband as this can be a very rewarding yet big responsibility. I also pray that he lays his head on God, as he bares the birthing experience. I know it's all so new and scary and he will want to be strong for you. I pray God continues to cover you in his Veil of ultimate protection and that this new journey arriving soon will be the best one yet! God Bless you and your Family, KZfaq is always here! Enjoy your time as a new mom, a new dad, and a new growing family! Xo

My cat and I hung out in my recliner while I’m recovering from illness. It’s good to see you taking a stand in Christian values. I hope all goes well with the birth of your little guy.

I TOTALLY agree with the advice for a new wife. When you first get married so many people try to tell you to enjoy it while it last. But marraige can and will always be fun as long as you are intentional! As a wife of 6 years with 2 little boys, it has only gotten better!!

I worked for the federal government for 7 years before I had my first son. I resigned from work as soon as he was born. My in-laws were upset and I’m not sure why they were upset, but my husband and I had made the choice way before our son was born. I realize not everyone is able to stay home, but if you’re given the chance and you accept it, then it’s wonderful. I was given the chance and I have no regrets. I didn’t have my kids, so that someone else could raise them. Besides, child care in my area was so expensive too. I ended up writing my in-laws a nice email and basically told them in a nice way not to intervene. :)

Give yourself some GRACE!!! That is the best advice, for all aspects of life!! Marriage, having children, anything!! I’m 58, and married 38 years next month, so, I am speaking from experience. Plus my first 17 years of marriage, I was an Military wife. So lots of experience under my belt! So ENJOY EVERY MINUTE OF IT!!! Time goes by so fast!!!

One thing to keep in mind when considering your family size is that it’s rare to be running around after little ones even with a bigger family. This is because those y’all already have will get older and therefore more helpful and not so needy for things like feeding and cleaning up the themselves. We have four and they rarely need attention all at the same time. Congratulations!

I felt the same about Branch Basics. SO bummed but couldn't use that product knowing they discriminate against my faith. A great alternative I found for BB is Molly's Suds! Loving it so far! :) I would also add... what you said about being married can apply to having kids, too. I had twins this past November and heard a lot of, "Oh you're never going to sleep" and "You'll never have any free time" when I was pregnant. People can automatically talk about kids like they are a burden, not a blessing. Is having children hard? Yes, sometimes. But overall they are such a blessing and gift. If I wanted to sleep a ton and do whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted, I wouldn't have kids! I know not everyone realizes they are doing this, but if I get a negative comment I will usually say, "they're my greatest gift" or "I am so blessed to be their mom."

It makes it so much easier to find the “joy” in things when you use the term as an acronym, Jesus first Others second You last ♥️ Love that you find the joy in all of the things you do, it’s so encouraging!
