This video shows a few ways of taking the back with the kimura. The figure four style armlock used with the Kimura is incredibly versatile and can be used in all sorts of positions. In this video I demonstrate 3 different variations. 2 from passing and 1 from side control.

I tried something similar to that first option, but I never got to their back that I recall, looks like you are doing it a bit different from how I had tried it so maybe I will get back to it using the knee to push them back
