@nel-sunstudio6109 I heard the original novel was written by a Frenchman. In the novel, the astronauts were French, not American, and in the iconic end scene, instead of finding the destroyed Statue of Liberty, they find the destroyed Eiffel Tower.

I’m so hyped for this movie! Tho it seems some apes have learned nothing from the humans and are beginning to act just like they did after becoming the dominant species. I always admired how Caesar never wanted to kill the humans in this trilogy, rather just break free from their rule. I never saw it as him being weak, but as Caesar actually being the bigger individual. Caesar was a great leader because he kept his eye on the actual goal, which was for his kind to be free from human rule. He only killed when it was absolutely necessary and he always did his best to not make things personal. In Dawn of the Planet of the Apes when Caesar and the other apes rencountered the humans he even tried to make peace with them rather than go to war, because he knew how devastating war could be for both the humans and the apes. A wise leader always searches for peace if it is possible rather than solve problems through violence. Caesar didn’t force the other apes to hate the human race, he didn’t ask them to kill every single one of them (like Koba), he just thought about what was best for his kind. Caesar knew in order to be a higher species you must be better than the ones who abused you. Hopefully this knew character (who I believe is named Noa) will take after him and follow in his footsteps.

Almost like that's been shown to be the point in these movies. There is good and bad in all beings, and suddenly becoming sentient isn't going to suddenly make everyone good. anything with the ability to willingly choose to do something is going to have that temptation to do evil for their own benefit. There are bad apes, just as there are bad humans.

The original took place in a post-apocalyptic nuclear war earth, the reboot takes place in a viral outbreak apocalypse which leaves the earth lush. Also, I'm going to miss Andy Serkis's performance.

I’m so happy that we’re gonna get to see the aftermath of when Apes have taken over the planet. The irony is that it seems now humans have become like the ape’s life stock just like the Colonel said would happen in the third movie. It’s also a throwback to the original movie from 1968.

It’s Cornelius, he’s listed as such in the official casting and description of the story. Maybe they will pull a “it’s not his son Cornelius but his great great grandson also named Cornelius” but you are wrong.

Plus I’m excited to learn some of the lore bits of what happened between the last film and this one with Cornelius and the apes.

It started as a prequel to the original, just offset by a few decades. If they make the Cornelius from the other prequels the same character as the original Cornelius, that'll offset by several millenia. I hope they don't plan in overwriting the original completely, or if they do, explain the timeline change somehow.

No Ceaser son is not in the movie This story happens way long after Ceaser's reign..after many generations probably. The main character is noa in this film Probably getting near to a point to the original time line in the planet of the apes film (1968). And also we got easter in the rise of the planet of the apes where there are news reports that say that few(astronauts)are lost in space So we may get a post credit scene in this movie or an entire movie. dedicated to that original story adapted from the movie and novel
