Costco runs the Kingsford Pro in a 2 pack of 18# bags for around $20. I always grab a couple bags and have found it to work well in my Akorn as well as kettles. I also like the B&B...basically I get whichever is on sale and both perform well.

I do the exact same from costco. I'm not trashing B&B but I took the time myself to try many different brands and the costco two pack works best for me. Where I am. B&B is 50% more in price. Same price as Jealous Devil

Thanks for the info Tom. Really enjoyed your video. I was trying B&B for the first time and came across your video while the briquettes were lighting in the chimney. Kingsford blue bag has been my go to for years but I couldn't control the fire in my 26 inch Weber anymore. It would either go out or burn up too fast. Tonight I have been able to control the heat like I used to. I will be buying a second bag of the B&B

I totally agree with your findings, Tom! The Kingsford lite fast, burn hot and fast, and burn out fast! I have been using B&B for years, and there is no comparison! I always shut down my vents after a cook and about half of my B&B are preserved! There is nothing left of the Kingsford! Nothing but ash for the next cook! Thanks for the Honest Review! Cheers

I tried B&B after discovering your channel. Before that I preferred the regular Kingsford blue bag with no complaints. Since then I use B&B. For the most part I use charcoal for quick hot cooks, so price could play a role in any impulse buys in my near future. It looks like B&B has that covered.

Thanks for confirming what I've long suspected. I've had great luck with B & B products. I agree and declare B&B the winner. It might be interesting to compare lump charcoal varieties head-to-head. For instance, I've never used Blues Hog brand and know almost nothing about it. I myself have been Jealous Devil briquettes and B&B oak lump charcoal user for years now. I recommend both.

i just watched the video on b & b vs. devil charcoal. I believe the b & b only reached 275° but here it reached over 300° so the wind may have played a part. Either way, overall the best appears to be b & b. Id be interested in seeing the b & b char logs. That's actually what I was looking for. I finally found the B&B orange bag at Farm & Fleet so I grabbed a bag. IMO it was definitely superior to Kingsford in performance. Smoked ribs in my Weber Summit with for ~4.5 hours. Hard to quantify how much I put in to start, but about 2/3 of it was left after I was done. I wouldn’t have had that much Kingsford left in my experience.

Kingsford may have an edge in lighting quick and getting the Q going fast. But that's about it. If you just got home and need to get some thin burgers and hotdogs going right away... Kingsford may be better for you. B&B is by far better if you want a longer consistent heat and more flavor. I like to use the B&B Logs and sometimes mix the Logs and Briquettes together for a really long, consistent, and hot grill. Mainly cuz I like to do an indirect heat smoke and then flip on to the hot sear. Or I do a hot sear and then shut it all the way down to get the smoke. Then flip and open it wide open to get a sear again and then shut it down for additional smoke. You can't do that with Kingsford. It's a one hot burn and then nothing.

B&B oak briquette has the best taste and scent out of every briquette on the market (wish their lump scent/taste was as pleasant as the briquette ) Stinkford is arguably the worst briquette of the big brands, so much white smoke at start
