CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Lola (Chiwetel Ejiofor) saves the day on the catwalk in Milan by performing a boots medley assisted by cross-dressing background dancers.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
A failing shoe factory that's struggling to maintain its footing following the death of its founder finds the inspiration needed to stay in business from the most unlikely of sources in veteran British director Julian Jarrold's warmhearted tale of fancy footwear and changing times. Charlie Price (Joel Edgerton) just can't seem to keep the factory afloat on his own, and with the livelihood of his entire small town hanging in the balance, he needs to come up with something truly groundbreaking. Lola (Chiwetel Ejiofor) is a sassy female impersonator with a flair for style and a great mind for design. Though on paper their inventive scheme to save the factory may sound too outrageous to be true, stranger things have happened in the world of business, and if it doesn't break them, it may just transform them into the richest footwear manufacturers in all of England.

@@QuikVidGuy hey that’s right because he’s directed classics like Elf, Iron Man, Iron Man 2, & The Mandalorian. But at the same time he did directed terrible movies like Cowboys vs Aliens, The Jungle Book (2016), & The Lion King (2019) but in all seriousness I think he has more class than just liking VR, besides Star Wars fans are begging for him to be the new president of LucasFilm and replacing Kathleen Kennedy (which in my people have been hating on her when she doesn’t really deserve the hate) so I think he does than just liking VR.

It's their way of proving THEY can stomp, march, dance, seduce and pirouette - in dangerous boots on a catwalk - better than girls! Nothing to do with "breakables", unless you're talking a straight man in heels breaking his back... ;-D

@Hunt Club Barbie - So they can do all of those things, but there are multiple references in the movie to making the shoes strong enough to be worn by men. So all of stomping is intended to indicate quality. WJ Brooks Shoe Company was the Real Kinky Boots factory and quality was very much their thing, to the extent that this switch only kept them open until 2000 - this was partly due to their overheads and partly due to low demand for the product.

Best gag about this part is the guy sitting there in the middle of it all. I absolutely love the dancing, though! It's the epitome of a runway show. If you have not seen this movie in it's entirety you should!

They should have started when Charlie came on and the discomfort of that part as it then leads to how Lola and the boys made it look as though that was an intentional past of the show, then ended on the kiss scene.

I love this scene. Just as it starts to look bleak for Charlie and his company, Lola and her girls save the day with an amazing number. I love listening to this medley. I'd I'm feeling down, I listen to it and just smile. My cousin Vanessa fell in love with this movie, thanks to me, and agreed that for us, this was best scene

You can tell that Chiwetel is the consummate actor, completely dedicated to his profession, after all, it takes a lot for a heterosexual man to dress in drag, and only hetero as dedicated as he is to the profession would do that.

+Rayarena I get the whole "Let's applaud the straight actor for stepping out his comfort zone" thing, but he doesn't have a particularly nice voice, and the fact a 1000 British black gay actors could of done it better is depressing. Hollywood demands 'names' so the sheeple will have more reason to go see the tired crap they churn out. A lot of better talent taken gets over-looked, and instead we keep seeing the face of Benedict Cumberbatch repeated on several difference posters in the same day.
