I always find it strange how some companies dont put water purification tablets and a water bag in their Survival Tins but they still add food procurement. P. S. Another great review buddy.

Like your videos. Nice to see you review them and even add stuff to it. I like to do that as well. There is one thing i put in all off them if there is space and thats a Space blanket cause Shelter is kinda hard to make all natural. Greetings from the Netherlands.

I feel like a lot of space was wasted in this kit with that huge whistle, the big candle, and having the handle and lanyard on the fire steel. If it were me I'd replace the fire steel and whistle with a Leatherman Signal fire steel/whistle, dump the pencil (you can sharpen a stick and dip it in charcoal for a makeshift pencil) and swap the huge candle for a couple birthday type candles that don't blow out. That would open up a metric F ton of room to add some bank line, a more comprehensive fishing system, meds, and maybe an arrowhead. Next I'd dip those cotton balls in petroleum jelly and stuff them plus two more into a small piece of drinking straw that has been melted at each end to seal it which would give me room to add water purification tablets. Finally I'd dump the wire saw (they blow in my experience) to add a Readyman wilderness card (which has awls, a saw, fish hooks, frog spear, etc all on a small business card sized metal card), a Wazoo survival burnable business card for extra tinder, and a set of tweezers. Then of course I'd scrap that multitool and add a Victorinox of the same size or if it would fit maybe a Leatherman Squirt PS4

The whistle reminds me of a train sound :D Just to add i would use the scissors edge before the knife edge. With that said I would also grind the side of the file for a striker. Those few additions do add something to this "so so" kit. All this best from CR.

I'm kind of laid up right now with Bell's Palsy so I'm going back and watching a lot of videos since I can't get out and do much. This one strikers me as one of the weaker kits. It's easy to say that anything beats nothing, but ultimately it's not much more space, room or money to have quality stuff. That knife is a joke compared to a real SAK; I get why they used it (the SAK costs what the whole kit costs) but definitely a blade is one area where you want quality. If you simply walk out into forest at 9:00 am on a pleasant sunny day and decide to stay for 24 hours what will you want to have? For me some kind of shelter is nice (in case it rains). You want something to sleep on to get off the ground. You'll need something to drink and depending on the weather you may want a fire. That kit in stock form really doesn't address those things to speak of. The whistle is great and a super good thing to have. The tea light candle is an awesome item, no doubt! If you can get that lit you're practically home free as it can easily get anything else lit. A lighter or a few matches would be nice or at least decent tinder you can light with the steel as a bridge to get the candle lit. Cordage is also huge for cobbling up a shelter, hanging a container to heat water, stringing a line to dry clothes out, carrying stuff, etc. The kit isn't great but the tin looks handy. Maybe the best use of it would be to repurpose the the tin into a 'module' or sorts. It would be perfectly sized for a fire kit, or an EDC signal/tool kit.

How about one day you try to scrape off the ‘rubber’ seal? My bet is you’ll take an hour and still not get it all off.

Almost every survival kit has a plastic whistle. I prefer an aluminum or other metal whistle. Plastic breaks or melts too easily.

I wonder if the compass will be affected by the scraper. I saw the compass quickly turn to it when you placed it in the tin. GOD Bless you and your family

I have a question. out of all these kits you "reviewed", Have you ever taken them out and put them to the test, used the items in the kits to see if they will hold up or not. Thats the only way someone can give a review on the kit. Otherwise, you're only reviewing how they are packed.

Yeah this one is a disappointment. No point of adding a ferro rod and no striker and pencil without paper and nothing for water.

I don’t recommend Chinese useless products for survival, specially where your in survival situation middle of nowhere and you really dependent on these things.

Man. That kit was beyond trash. Cheap kits usually are not good.
