Make a “s” in the waste flexible pipe to make a trap. Use a zip tie. Watched the full series so far, cracking work.

Thanks you for the tip, will give the smell trap a try but if it slows the flow or leaks like a sieve will try your suggestion. thanks for watching and the kind words.

These videos can't come quick enough. I'm sure I'm not the only one who checks several times a day to see the next installment of this great build. The sink/hob combo looks a tidy unit and appears to be of a reasonable size. I would really like to see one in the flesh before committing, but with supply issues and a shortage of good outlets in the west country I am inclined to go with your good judgement. I've searched but can't find the sink internal measurements on-line. Would you be able to provide the internal width, length and depth please. Many Thanks.

Hi Peter, just measured it and it is 34cm x 24cm x 10cm internal. regards.

Good idea to replace the dimmer switch with another USB/12 volt plug. You can never have too many.

Cant believe I was such an idiot to not read the instructions first and route the negative as well. lesson learned!

For your dimmer to work maybe try reversing the polarity at the fuse board n re-identify the cables with the right colour If the led connections are polarity sensitive then you will need to reverse the polarity there to. Hope this makes sence

Great progress looking absolutely fantastic. Love the cupboard doors, have you got a link to them?

Not really, but if you go to Ikea website and search for Ringhult white you will find them, be careful if you order as a 40x60 and a 60x40 are the same size but the hinge locations are different.

From Canada: Great video as usual! English is not my first language: at minute 9:27, you talk about a "Bottle Trap" that you plan to connect to the sink drain, can you elaborate about that gizmo and maybe provide a source about it? I installed a sink in my project and I may need it.

Thank you for watching. here is a link to a UK website leisurelines.net/waste-smell-trap-25mm-1-hose-410-p.asp hopefully in Canada you will have something better as here in the UK this is considered to be rubbish but is really the only option. hope that helps.

@@wiltshirecustomcamper7203 I asked the question because here, in Canada those "P Traps" as they are called here, are made to be installed to rigid piping. My plan is to use flexible hose, so your "Bottle Trap" may fit better!

Nail varnish remover will remove that glue off the sink. Other solvents will work.
@wiltshirecustomcamper72032 жыл бұрын
Thanks Andrew for the tip, actually already used a bottle of 'sticky label remover' that did the trick. Thank you again for your continued interaction with the channel and I'm pleased you are enjoying the videos.

@@wiltshirecustomcamper7203 Mate your a star. Your videos have saved me so much time and energy and possibly money on my own van build. Researching every single component to find the best quality bits at the best prices. The reason I mention nail varnish remover is it's readily available and cheap in small bottles. It's also the most effective thing to remove road tar off you van. Or if you get anything bitumen/tar based on your hands/clothes. I buy it in spray cans that are sold for cleaning expanding foam guns. In the good old days when we didn't have to worry about harsh chemicals, we just used the chemicals that worked the best. The same chemical used in Nail varnish remover was used in brake cleaner. Now we have to use eco friends rubbish that doesn't really remove the brake dust off you brakes and wheels. Keep up with the great videos.

Hi WCC, Can you let me know the shade of grey/ name of the furniture board?
@wiltshirecustomcamper72032 жыл бұрын
It came from Morland UK and is called Carbon Grey, if you want several sheets then order direct from Morland, if you don't meet there delivery minimums then Midland Leisure Supplies will sell you one sheet but you will have to collect.

Hi did you fit the feet on your IKEA units Thankd
@wiltshirecustomcamper7203 Жыл бұрын
great question. no, i made a recessed plinth that the units sit on. only consider this if you don't have any weight concerns as 3x ikea cupboards are very heavy.
