Printables included are from KB and Friends on Etsy.
Vintage ephemera is from many different shops--local antique shops, as well as shops found on Etsy and Instagram!

Thank you, Joni!! Yes, it takes quite a bit of time to choose the elements for the journals because I am intentional about what goes in them! Labor is the biggest cost factor in these for sure! 🤗💕💗💕💗

May I ask..I've purchased a Kittydori of my own and want to attempt to make one from old sewing patterns my mom left me...how do you make the cover so nice and glossy? The paper patterns themselves are so thin..but it doesn't quite feel laminated..how can we fortify the sewing pattern/cover so it holds up...(I don't have a laminating device). And if it is a trade secret please don't divulge it on my account, lol! Love your work!

Hi Nancy!! Thank you again for buying one of my Kittydori junk journals! I actually do not add a thing to the covers to make them glossy! Some pattern envelopes already have a sort of sheen to them. I think they treated the paper with some kind of coating. Some are more like uncoated paper, but I don't add anything on top. You can try adding a sealer to the cover, but test it in an inconspicuous spot in case it lifts the ink. That's why I dont add anything on top! I figure if they've been around almost 70 years and still look good, they don't need anything on top! I do line the insides of the envelopes with cardstock to reinforce them and make them sturdier for covers. Hope that helps!! Please let me know if you have any other questions!! It takes me so long to incorporate creating time into my work/home life its going to be quite the process to find the time to even try this..but I do have quite a few old (and lovely) sewing patterns and they (along with the type of ephemera you utilize) make me feel so nostalgic! I am the one that used to sew with my sister who is no longer with us. I just love all of that time period and I fervently hope to create some thoughtful gifts this year. I will take your suggestion and proceed with caution, test it first and use cardstock on the inside..that might do the trick to make them strong enough. Thank you again! Nancy =^.^=
