This one-of-a-kind 'Kittydori' vintage sewing pattern envelope cover junk journal featuring vintage journal pages, trims, and over 40 pieces of ephemera, is going to be available through eBay auction, starting Thursday, Sept. 17 at 9 pm, eastern standard time. The auction closes on Friday, Sept. 18 at 9 pm, eastern standard time (6 pst/7 mst/ 8 cst). The auction is open to those who live in the U.S. and Canada.

This journal is made with high quality materials and craftsmanship (and lots of love!!). The cover is made from an authentic vintage sewing pattern envelope that has been transformed into a sturdy traveler's notebook cover, using my unique process for creating this original Kittywitty Papercraft design. Many "copycat" versions of this design now exist, but the 'Kittydori' is the original vintage sewing pattern envelope cover traveler's notebook style junk journal!

Aww, Tracie, thank you so very much for your kind message of support!! That was just so thoughtful of you!! I appreciate it so much!! I was disappointed, especially since I'm at a crossroads with my business and needing to decide if I am going to continue with Kittywitty Papercraft or not. This didn't make the decision any easier. 😄 It is hard to make a living selling handmade (mainly bc there isn't enough time to make enough things to sell when each thing takes so long to make!) There are other options that I've been exploring and I'm taking some time off now to reflect and decide how to move forward. Thank you as always for your kindness and thoughtfulness!!! 🤗💗💗💗💗

This is precious! I am brand new to this and want to learn how to make these for personal use and gifts. Can you tell me the best places to find ephemera? For instance, just looking on ebay for pattern catalogs from the 50s gave me results that were $200 or more! So many great ideas -- button cards, library cards, ledger paper, etc.....Is it just something you look for at antique stores and yard sales and such? You are super creative! And it's always fun to find like-minded vintage enthusiasts! Nothing is "trash!" :-)

Hi! Thank you so much!! Yes, vintage pattern catalogs are very expensive!! 😄 Most other types of ephemera aren't quite that much! I just search Ebay and Etsy online and go to any places that sell old used stuff, like antique shops, flea markets, yard sales, estate sales, rummage sales, etc. I do have a PDF of my favorite Etsy shops for buying vintage ephemera if you'd like me to email it to you! That will also get you on my email list. If you are on with that, just send me your email at kittywittypapercraft@gmail.com and I will get the list over to you and add you to my email list! Love this so much! I was wondering was the cover a photocopy of the pattern cover? or is it mounted on cardstock for stability? Love all of your work.

Thank you, Christie!! I use the original vintage pattern envelopes and mount them on cardstock. The illustrations on sewing pattern envelopes are still under copyright, so copies aren't actually legal, plus I love to use authentic vintage anywhere I can! Thank you for asking!
