Amen brother. I was once questioned about a crime I had nothing to do with. The detective handed me a letter to sign when he walked in, after icing me for 20 minutes. I read the letter and it essentially said that I was treated fairly and not coerced or bullied during the interview. He wanted me to sign this before the interview event started. I didn't sign anything until I got him to tell me exactly why I was there. He told me and I had a good laugh because I had nothing to do with it. The main reason I had the sense to read this letter and reject it is because my Dad used to be a Narcotics Officer in the 70's. He told me how these guys work. Most citizens are not aware of their rights and don't understand the cops can lie, among other tactics to get what they want from you. Literally nothing you say to an officer will help you. They will only use statements that will aid the prosecutor. They will use every form of intimidation and dishonesty they can. It doesn't matter what they threaten you with. Don't talk under any circumstances.
