Once I got CJ to make me some art and He started to talk about flick and their childhood together and their parents and I was so happy animal crossing has brought back NPC’s talking about their past

My strategy is catching all the daily wasps, storing them, and when Flick shall arrive, sell for BIG money! As for CJ, I find it more difficult since I can never get good fish, even with fish bait.

I'm surprised there is no visitor that buys sea creatures, makes sea creature statues, and hosts a diving tournament. If I could think of an idea, I would suggest an Otter similar to Pascal. He's like this surfer dude who likes to carve surfboards and sometimes sea creature statues.

I was visiting a friends island during a bug-off and it was free to enter no matter how many times we did it, when I left my friend had to pay admission charge again.

As a new player I have to say that I LOVE Flick. His design and personality are great, and I also love the fact that I make over a hundred thousand bells whenever he visits! I commissioned a tiger butterfly and it's lovely. CJ on the other hand didn't really pay that much for an activity that is far more time intensive so I did not bother farming fish on the first day he visited my island. His streamer personality is also kind of meh for me.

I’m quite fond of Flick and C.J. - between them, they paid for most of my house upgrades, ramps, and bridges! Now I only save up the most valuable bugs and fish for when they come.

I wish that the fish models were as incredible as the bug models. I was so disappointed when I got my Coelacanth model, it was one of my first ones.

Really nice guide as always! :D You seem to have left out the bonus of doing the Bug-off and Fishing Tourney in multiplayer, tho? By playing it together with others (Internet or Local), you'll be awarded additional points for the total catches between all players. 5-9 bugs/fish gives +5 pts, 10-14 gives +7 pts, and 15 or more gives +10 pts! And that's in addition to your regular single player score, meaning it can be faster to get points with other people, if you're trying to ex. get more of the items. In addition, the entry fee of 500 Bells is removed when playing with other people, as an added bonus. :)

I give flick 3 bugs every time with my main and secondary profile when he comes over so I can put a lot of beautiful butterflies on my island to decorate.

yes you're right when you anticipate each seasons in the bug off and fishing tourney they will give you a reward well my started off as winter season

It's worth noting that you do not have to do the challenge to get CJ to do a commission for you. Also, if you have alot of cliffs, CJ sometimes likes to spawn on them and it's a pain to find him LOL.

Flick and CJ have actually been part of Pocket Camp for a long time. Before New Horizons was released I’m pretty sure.

Honestly, I feel like the best way to get money (in my opinion) is to catch a bunch of wasps everyday and store them in your storage and wait for flick to come and then you come across a _* HUGE *_ pile of cash! Although it might take up a lot of space, I feel like if you’re still somewhat expanding your storage, it is a good option for making money

I definitely still use them. To be fair, I missed a good portion of last year as I got the game later, so I haven't gotten all of the bug off or fishing tourney events, let alone the rewards. Generally speaking, usually I catch a few fish and bugs a day, store them in my house, and when the guys show up, I make bank. Even in Not-Shark season, it's pretty easy to get 100k out of CJ each visit, same with Flick if you focus on wasps, tarantulas/scorpions, & the higher-ticket butterflies, & that's Not-Stag/Beetle season. (I'm pretty sure I've made 100k from paper kite butterflies alone at this point)

Flick used to be my #1 source of obtaining bells. Since every day you can shake trees to capture 5 wasps, which sell for 2,500 each. I can get tons of bells by preserving them in my house then selling them to flick, as well as catching other expensive bugs for the same price or higher. Ever since the pumpkin update however, I stopped this method, and now that I have a healthy amount of bells, I don't bother with gaining them anymore. Which is a shame.

Pro tip- make extra profiles on your island. You can make them store your extra creatures and have them make a model too. Everytime flick or cj visit I can make 4 models instead of 1.

pro tips!💖 - if you have multiple player characters then u can use them to each order a commission, so u can order more than one per visit! - the fishing tourneys / bug offs are free if someone is visiting your island or you're on someone else's island!

i think a cool reward for giving flick 500-700 bugs in the tournament you could earn their net in the nooks cranny shelf. and for cj he could give you like a cool flashy fishing rod or just something that’s a tool for giving him 550-750 fish

Yes I have used them, but I’ve only been playing this game since December 22. I have three models - A goldfish model, a common butterfly and a rajah brooke butterfly.

i managed to get (about half of them i bought on nookazon) all of the bug and fish models in the game, took me about 3 months and some time travelling to get back to July for those tree beetles LOL

I played Poker Camp before I got a Switch and started New Horizon. They have really good furniture, especially the fortune cookies. I started playing New Horizon a week ago and I even got the official handbook. Looking through the furniture section, it seems like New Horizon don't have the fortune cookie furnitures which isa shame because the fortune cookie furniture in Pocket Camp are incredible. I also like how in Pocket Camp, villagers rotate and visit more.

Flick is so passionate about bugs in this game, it's a lil infectious haha... I save a lot of my more expensive bugs and fish for Flick and CJ these days, since I have inventory space. I don't actually need the bells, though, and since CJ asks for a challenge, sometimes I'm lazy and pass him up. I, too, love all the butterfly and moth models, so I also tend to get those... they go well with my colorful flowery town

If you have multiple accounts on your NS, you can use the extra accounts to get extra bug or fish collectables/statues. So rather than being limited to one collectable per visit, I get three per visit because I have 3 residents living on my island currently ! :)

I started playing again after not playing for almost a year. I’m back to selling to flick and CJ trying to pay off my house loan. Thankfully I got onto a tarantula island last month and brought back an inventory full to sell. I’m collecting some fish and bugs for collectibles rn while trying to finish my critterpedia, any extras that don’t go to the museum get sold to flick or CJ. I just pile up the cages on my rocks which are undecorated rn

IMPORTANT: the Bug-Off and Fishing Tourney events are run from 9 am to 6 pm ONLY! That said, CJ and Flick stay until 8 pm that day, so you have 2 hours of overtime to exchange points and sell fish/bugs.

What they should do is if you reach 500 points in the bug and fishing tournament (or a new different event) you get Flick's net (which is even more durable than the golden net, maybe even the only unbreakable tool) and CJ's fishing rod (which also is more durable than the golden fishing rod or could just be unbreakable)
