theory: joy says “psycho” in the beginning. that is a important key to this theory ish, after the wenjoy scene wendy is seen with her lipstick smudged and messy hair. joy then tells seulgi something and seulgi warns yeri about it, but joy cuts the line to the phone. at the end of the mv irene also says “psycho” so joy and irene could possibly be the “masterminds” and “psychos” of the whole thing. this makes no sense

The Reve Festival has actually had meaning “Reve” actually means “Dream" which means a lot to red velvet M/V’s concept, Like zimzalabim means Red Velvet really wants to be free, the concept means red velvet wants to have fun, it is like a magical dream that only a dream. Smer concept of red velvet was actually creepy it turn to be fun at first but it doesn’t, umpah umpah means “learn how to swim" but when you see the lyrics, the deep sea/pool will turn you to kill somebody, you actually won’t learn but to drown and it turns you to be psycho. Red Velvet portray to be psycho, did you realize that all 3 concept had a ride??? Zimzalabim is riding on roller coaster, while umpah umpah and psycho is riding to a car. It means Red Velvet is riding on us, it is fun at first but we keep drowning because of fun that turn us to be a psycho.

Who I think the characters are Joy: Dorothy Seulgi: Scare Crow Yeri: Tin Man Wendy: Lion Irene: The Wizard of Oz

Joy is the mastermind! She is manipulating them into staying a psycho. Irene is the only one who is waking up from everything. When joy noticed her waking up, she takes off.

When you realize, SM didn’t give Seulgi the pants in Psycho, the teasers don’t go with the actual M/V’s, and Irene is also the member SM targets.

I personally thought the bit you said about Irene and everything thing in Zimzalabim and Umpah Umpah was true but I just have a strong urge that for psycho, Joy is controlling it all. First off she is seen slowly closing the door whilst Yeri is jumping up and down, almost saying she is trying to stop anyone interfering with her work, then you see her whispering in seulgi's ear, maybe manipulating her. After this you see Wendy by the stairs and it looks as though she is questioning herself, then Joy comes and harshly and quickly Grabs her and drags her up the stairs. Then, when you see her on the train, the door, presumably where Irene is sewing, closes behind her as she looks very smug, the line that she sings that starts 'don't look back' suggests she is saying don't look back to reality, keep living in this made up world. Also the tone of her voice literally says it all, it almost portrays an innocent yet manipulative tone. Also when Joy cuts the thread from Yeri and Seulgi's phone it's like she cut off their connection from reality. I'm not saying anything I said is absolutely correct, it's just my theory. ❤️

We know KPJ would never treat Seulgi's Red Pants wrong.

He is blatantly getting ignored by Cube even though he is physically ready to be working and has told cube this but he hasn't gotten a response even though this was a while ago. My theory: OK, I think that Joy is starting to become suspicious of Irene. In the beginning of the video, we can see that Joy looks straight in the camera and whispers to us the words " PSYCHO". Guess who sings right after that? IRENE. After this, Joy's suspicions about Irene are confirmed. Need further proof? In Joy's teaser, you can see that she is visibly worried and is running from something. Then we see Joy trying to warn the other members. She sees Wendy at the stairs doing nothing but seemingly staring into space. Could it be that she is in some sort of trance because of Irene? She takes her hand and drags her up the stairs, maybe into a room to talk to her about Irene. After a while, we see Yeri and Seulgi each holding 1 cup which is connected by a string, and putting it to their ear. Could it be that they are listening to Irene through that? They seem to be a trance. Joy quickly cuts the string, and they snap out of the trance. After that, we can see them show signs of rebellion. Yeri breaks a mirror. Seulgi's reflection looks elsewhere. Joy is seen in a car which Irene was seen in in the beginning of the video. Irene then realizes that they have discovered her psycho plan when she pricks her finger. However, by the end of the video, we can see that their doubts have all been cleared away, as they are dancing in a circle and playing. Who is in the middle of the circle? Irene. She has managed to clear away the doubts because of this reason: She is the leader of Red Velvet. She knows how to talk out of trouble. Or has she changed for the better? Maybe she put away her psycho title and just wants to be normal now. No. She is still a psycho. How U know this? The end of the video says it all. She whispers to the camera with a smirk on her face "PSYCO". This is just my opinion. Feel free to tell me yours. Just reply to this (long) comment.

JOY IS THE MASTERMIND! heres why - look at the album cover for reve final. irene, seulgi, yeri and wendy are looking out the windows but joy is not, the legs inside the house have to be joys, and in the photoshoots joy looks dull, but i also think wendy is involved with her mastermind plan as they both had a photo with each other for psycho and in the photo where they're making a circle YOU CAN OBVIOUSLY SEE JOY, and from the way theyre standing, the angle makes it look like joy is in the middle and she was the last member for her photoshoots to come out.

my theory: i think that irene is controlling rv bc in rookie she was seen using puppet strings to control the group. i feel like yeri and joy are the ones being manipulated by irene and seulgi and wendy know that they are being controlled. in zimzalabim, in one scene yeri and joy wear 3d glasses and look at something while wendy and seulgi were looking straight at the camera, wearing 3d glasses too. unlike the others, irene looked straight at the camera with no glasses, knowing that she is controlling them all. i also think that irene started to know that seulgi was starting know about her controlling and manipulating them all, so in the umpah umpah mv, so she made seulgi go up and fix the thing (i forgot what it was) on the roof to get rid of her.

Well since very long ago i have been noticing many connections between rv's music videos and ngl I don't really know how to tie everything together and make a theory I want to share some of the things I noticed : the main thing is *cars* - automatic, dumb dumb, ice cream cake, bad boy, rbb, umpah umpah and now psycho all have either ot5 inside a car or just irene in the driver's seat. if not, a car may appear in the video somewhere else [even just in the background] like in happiness, peek a boo and russian roulette. other than that you can notice a lot of *round tables, vanities and some factory elements* please share your thoughts about how the music videos may connect, I'd love to read them :) - sorry if i have grammer mistakes, English isn't my native language -

Idk how you're able to always come up with such good theories and make perfect sense every single times but I hope you keep at it 💕 My theory: (this is so long asdfghjkllk) For me the threads reminded me of the three fates from greek mythology; every person's life is represented by the thread, its spun into existence, curled and knotted to mark the challenges and difficulties, and cut to mark the end/death. We can see all of them in a room sewing clothes of their own. They're using themselves up, their fates are in their own hands and they're choosing to put themselves through the pain and torture of a toxic relationship. Except to them, its something wonderful and beautiful, the pretty pink clothes, the outfits , the wedding dresses in the end. They don't understand how outsiders think otherwise (joy and seulgi whispering to each other as they look to the side) and they think its funny. They've created a seperate reality for themselves, where everything is easier if they keep on doing what they've always been doing (they feel sad and low when they're away from the person;kinda like withdrawal). Even though Irene is the one who breaks out of this reality first (she's the only one who pricks her finger, and as KJ said , the only one to see her true self) she doesn't help the others or hearslf break out of it. She knows there's no point, that they've all already accepted that this is their fate, what they're supposed to do, there's no getting better from here (joy snipping the thread, indicating this is their end). They've accepted that this has been their beginning, and will remain their end too, where they give up pieces of themselves to make something thats beautiful but will eventually wear away (clothes). Why? Because they're all psychos. (Idk if this made any sense utdhgfjgfhj)
