The first two games were never about story anyway, even the creator John Romero thought that story in those games wasn't that necessary. The games are just about shooting monsters for the satisfaction of killing them. Even the new one feels the same way.

Why is everyone still shocked when Hollywood Adaptations try and remove mystic elements from their stories? They've been doing this for decades now! As far as the marketeers are concerned it still the 1950dies and anyone over 10 years old is too old for Fantasy as a genre, their idiots but that nothing new.

Yippie! I've finished every single book in the Twilight Saga!! I didn't had to do it, but i really wanted to, even though it was a long road, full of pain and suffering, and crying, but now it's finally over! Final conclusion: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGHHHHGHGHH!!!!! However, if you ever review the fourth book, Breaking Dawn, then i do have a joke about the cover! :D ``The cover shows a chessboard with a White Queen, obviously symbolising Bella, and a red Pawn, looming threatening in the dark. It looks pretty cool at first, but then you remember the rules for chess, and realise that, in this particular set-up at least, a Pawn can never, ever threaten a Queen, unless the player controlling the Queen is an complete idiot. Doom should have started with braking out of a lab killing a monster with flash blacks of the people the one you did date , But at the end you find out your the monster and you did everyone you did work with and love seeing them as the monster. At the end you try to kill your self with a shotgun over and over only to find you heal to fast to die.

So a movie that claims to be based on the Doom franchise, the most important FPS games of all time, is in fact a complete RIPOFF of the game that popularised the Survival Horror genre! And on top of that, Chromosone 24 is HIGHLY inferior to the T-Virus, because in RE2 and RE3: Nemesis, the T-Virus breaks into Raccoon City and causes an outbreak in that city! (Blame William Birkin) Plus the monsters Chromosone 24 creates don't look NEARLY as cool as the monsters the T-Virus makes!

I kind of wish that this movie did well so that formula-loving Hollywood execs used the sibling dynamic in movies during the late 2000s and 2010s. I mean, I get why some couples with post-breakup tension would get back together after a life-threatening ordeal, but that kind of bickering followed up with "no, I know you're a good person" when things go haywire makes more sense with a "no one can mess with you but me" sibling relationship in my mind.

I find it so weird this movie completely butchered the nature of the monsters, the Hell Knights and the Pinky look way more accurate their Doom 3 counterparts than the actual demons from hell in the newer Doom movie

I remember when I first watched the movie Doom, I really thought Grim's ability to survive the "semi-super serum" had something to do with the fact that he'd been there when he was a child, maybe his body became immune to the 'bad' parts of the serum somehow or something more scientific and eloquent. Alas, NPC is right, that whole plot point of him being there when tragedy struck is pretty pointless.

Ok. First, this movie is completely superfluous. There was already a movie adaptation of Doom. It was called Event Horizon. Second, there was one good thing about this movie. It kickstarted The Rock's carreer as a movie star. I'm not joking. That's the movie that convinced Hollywood that The Rock was a good leading man.

I can never understand just how hard it is for Hollywood to take on such a simplistic video-game like _Doom,_ not much story in it, just "Space Marine vs. Demons from Hell, on Mars". I can understand a need to have a few more space marines in a film for the hero to interact with, but having to change where the demons came from, from literal Hell to a Martian zombie virus, is very stupid. What, were they worried about pissing off the religious people? Haven't these guys heard of _Event Horizon_ ?

I hate the "more chromosomes means better lifeform" thing, if that were true Ferns would be the dominant life form on the planet, hell most animals would be counted as more advanced than us, probably a lot of fungi, plants, tons and tons of stuff.

The BFG wasn't a missed opportunity, it was an obvious thing that had to somehow go away, otherwise they would just IDDQD the whole movie. They could just have added three rounds of ammo and you'd be complaining about how it's stupid to only have three rounds, even though the entire gun is completely pointless unless there is an invasion anyway so why have it in the first place? Dont confuse "I would have done it diferently if I was a character in this movie" with "they where wrong".

ok so at some point they are going to remake Doom (movie). Especially if that castlevania series on Netflix does well or that supposed nintendo shared universe Nick is in talks about makes it. DEAR GOD, please don't just remake Captain N. Would you be ok with the main character being called Doom or Doomed like it's his call sign? I honestly had no problem with Reaper the first time around but it does make it narratively difficult when your protagonist has no name.

I would have wrote Portman as a man who couldn't wait to go on vacation with his wife, treated his superiors and fellow marines with respect and dignity, was a wise crack that loved to joke around from time to time, and would feel bad about his fellow marines dying. When he dies it's brutal, heart wrenching, and all around just awful and in his last dying moments he asks to see a picture of his wife and when he looks at it his last words are "Daisy......" then finally he dies and the picture reveals to be a mutant humanoid rabbit. I have a few more ideas on the Doom movie if anyone wants to hear them.
