Use a stand mixer while mixing the cake then fold in the apple filling. Looks great. You did a great job making it. ❤️

We had something like this all the time growing up. Not sure if the recipe is exactly the same but it looks like it. You can substitute any pie filling. Blueberry with cream cheese frosting is my favorite

When it comes to deserts you have to follow the recipe to a T for the most part. And that Apple Pie Cake come out very well and it's the kind of texture I like yum yum It's a winner!

Kristen you can also do this with a cake mix. It’s delicious with a butter pecan cake mix. Or a golden cake mix. But you did a mighty fine job that’s for sure🎉🎉🎉🎉

I'm no professional but I think it would work as long as the fruit filling is canned. I say this because of the moisture in canned fillings. Hope this helps. 😊🤷‍♀️

I bet that this recipe is very good! Maybe bake it in a rubber/silicone type bundt pan to prevent an overdone or burned bottom. Then, empty the cake from the bundt pan to a cake plate to cool. Then, drizzle the cake with powdered sugar icing is what I'm thinking... Just thinking out loud as to how I might tweak it a little bit. But anyway, 👉 Yummy!!! Looks Delicious!

Maybe you could even put the second can of apples on the bottom of the Bundt pan to make an apple upside down cake. I was also thinking other pie spices, like cloves maybe, allspice? That 1 1/2 CUPS of oil threw me though. Lots of oil. No milk or water. Sometimes I replace oil from a box of cake mix with applesauce but it's usually a half cup. And the cake can be dry

@@recoveringsoul755 Ohhhh Yes! That is a good idea about apple on the bottom for an upside down cake! It really is a whole lot of oil. I thought that too. And, sugar too. Maybe less flour, oil, and sugar for me. I love raisins, nuts, and spices with apple recipes. I'll add those to it. I'm gonna try less flour, sugar and oil to the mixture. I'll add a little butter, and milk or water with it instead if I think it needs it. And, even a little brown sugar instead of white sugar. That's just my own thoughts about tweaking it to fit my taste buds. But, the cake looks very good, and delicious though. It turned out very nice...

@@HonestyIsAVirtue7 raisins yes!! For a quickie sweet snack I core an apple. Put it into a small microwave safe dish. Fill the hole with raisins, brown sugar, little cinnamon, and lemon juice so it's sort of sitting in a bit of juice. Microwave for a minute for baked apple I have to eat with a knife and fork

@@HonestyIsAVirtue7 OMG Pink Lady apples are my very favorite!! great cold in a hot day. I've never tried them baked though. I usually go for the Granny Smith. Those Pink lady apples are only out for a brief time
