Perspective is always my favorite subject in a drawing! Thanks to the tricks that you give i don't have to make a perspective grid manually each time i need to use perspective which for a while it became a hassle so im thankful that you introduce me to the "Assistant Tool"! for now i've been having fun playing with the "fish eye point". The "snap to assistants" feature is a game changer for me because it make my work a lot faster and efficient. When i finally make comission money i'll be donating to krita development fund for sure!, for now i wanna say thank you to ramon and the krita team for the contents and resources!.

A really interseting and good video ! An other subject that could be interesting is : The treatment of scanned picture and things like "how erase blue lines under an inking drawing", "remove in a efficient way all the dust", "cleaning the drawing" and all that things related to scanned images. In fact transforming a scanned penciled or ink image in a pretty image which will be colored. Thank you again for all your interesting advices and explications for all the tooles of krita

This is a perspective with the effect of a wide-angle lens, which greatly distorts the image, so the corner of the house is very bulging. And a normal isometric perspective has to be done with your hands. Well, or in a 3d template.

I believe moving the anchor when you select something outside of the selection box would be helpful. This way it would be easier to move things in perspective and do a ton of other things.

You can post feature requests on krita-artists.org, but do read the manual page first: docs.krita.org/en/untranslatable_pages/new_features.html - it explains what exact information you should include in the feature request and what you can omit, and generally how to write it so it has the highest chance to be welcomed and implemented (though, of course, implementation always depends on how much time developers have and whatnot. But without a good feature request, the chance of implementing something are much smaller).

it would be cool if there could be a way to view perspective objects from 90 degrees as you were drawing. like create the perspective grid and then have another panel where you could edit the non distorted version of what you are drawing, similar to the multiple views you can have in blender. or even just a way to project flat objects onto the perspective grid like patterns.
@KritaOrgPainting

You can submit your ideas to krita-artists.org and this way more people can support your feature request. This is how lot of things are developed in Krita. Who knows //RM

Hello and many thanks for your tutorials! You could use "Penumbra A" blending mode (or similar) as a layer to draw assistant tool lines, and not change brush color to draw assistant lines.

@@KritaOrgPainting Just a small simplification: a less visible layer (with less opacity or different blending) to draw help lines, without always changing color. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rZpmdrCH2da0hps.html Thanks again for your tutorials

Hi @krita. I know this might be a very late comment but I hope Ramon can give us a clarification on the idea that confuses me at 6:10. It's about the mosaic perspective. Im confused why there is a need to project a new vanishing point than to simply use the existing left and right vanishing points to divide the area. Hopefully he can provide an insight on the advantage of doing the projected VP over the other. Thankful for it being demonstrated tho. It's a mind-blowing technique but I'm not sure when to use it. Thanks in advance for an explanation.
@KritaOrgPainting
@KritaOrgPainting Жыл бұрын
I used here the traditional way for dividing any plane in whatever parts you want since you are using an ortographic projected line that is not in perspective. If you divide to the right or left the line is vanishing to their respective vanishing points and therefore the line is in perspective and your divisions would be wrong. This technique cames from Architectural drawing or technical drawing as far as i know but maybe there are other techniques.. I remember doing it long long time ago. You can use it or not, it depends on how exact do you want the mosaic as i say in the video. I hope this helps.
@DexterBesa

@@KritaOrgPainting Thank you for responding. I think I may need to research more on orthographic concepts to understand this better. Thank you for the explanation and information. Pls continue your altruistic work. Highly appreciated!

Can you make a video or tell me if you already made a video on that trick you do where you measure the size of objects through perspective by drawing those extra lines? Example 6:56 and 2:01, I do not really understand how the first time stamp works at all and what it does and the second one is a bit simpler to understand.
