It’s interesting how the hairstyles in these adaptations could not escape being influenced by what was fashionable in the 60s-early 70s (bouffant, etc.).

There's no way a woman would have been left all alone with a man in her bedroom unless he was either her doctor or husband. No way.

"But i intend to put behind me all the foolish affections of the heart..." The very word's to live you're life to, sign that Marianne has grown up, i'm sure JA constantly battled with foolish affairs of the heart as well, i believe.

Acting has become much more natural since those days. Still, we thought it was great then!

Poor Marrianne--already exhausted with carrying the conversation after a single sentence. Sigh...

Can anyone tell me what Marianne says after Colonel Brandon apologizes for fatiguing her? (in episode 4 Part 3)

Marcy Brooks "I am not in the very least fatigued, thank you." This is what I believe she might have said to him

Strange that Marianne pronounces "digest" as "der-gest" instead of "die-gest."

Everything is so beige and brown. Like a field full of old hay and burlap sacks, for goodness sake.
