To replace the sword without drawing it back across the saya first and without looking is incredibly tough. Even while staring at the saya it can be tough to sheath a sword without first drawing it back along the sheath. And even though it’s sped up in editing, a lot of the sheaths in this do look genuine

I have seen a Japanese old man pulling his katana so fast, it was unbelievable. Then he must have spend so many years of traing to come on this level. Now I see you, younger then many others with the speed and precisely from a old man studied and train a lifetime. Respect bro!
@matei4159

He is astounding, yes. His precision is out of this world. But the sword has a wooden blade in most if not all instances, I think. That would make it much lighter and move the centre of balance closer to his wrist. I wonder how much a lighter or a heavy weight steel blade would affect the speed.

@@raptorsensei8893 Technically you can make the blade lighter than 2 kilos (made a mistake here, katana is usually at around 1200 grams or less), but only by a few grams. Enough exercise and strength can help you move it better with only one hand. But you'd probably never be able to use it like that, yes.

There are more frames of him slicing than of him sheathing, and the sheath motion has one period of unnaturally far movement between two frames. Regardless, it looks awesome, and there's really cool sword technique at the heart of the editing-which isn't so noticeable when you're not picking it apart in slo-mo :)

That said, when you pause and then step through the slicing of the fruit at 2:38-2:39, you'll see it looks 100% legit. So, I think your observation is accurate.

Also, the timing of it just feels off, the balloon feels like it should pop sooner, if you go frame by frame and see how far his hand moves each frame and use that as a reference you can see how it looks off 0:19 idk this could just be like real but edited for stylistic reasons, like I take it he didn't literally put a candle out by putting the sword in the sheath but I also take it that putting those candles out by swinging a sword is possible 1:46 all the sound is added in so theres no audio with the video, and you can literally see the ping pong ball not hitting the staff and cutting around, like this is probably the easiest thing to tell is fake. Though, the guy is still spinning the staff around like again this dude is still a talented person 2:17 the ball just disappears every time its hit and the ball is not on screen while the pen is being thrown, I also think the guy is being sped up a bit just for like stylistic reasons, a lot of the other videos have this too like the fruit slicing clips before this 2:49 ^ same as everything before this ^ except also now the ball bounces extremely lightly on the last hit and also jumps from being on the foam mat, to off of the foam mat, to back onto it during the last bounce the rest either seems to be real or edited slightly but still really done

at 2:25 if played in slow motion you can easily tell that its two different shots because the ball and 'sword master' are moving at framerates that aren't consistent with each other. The ball moves one frame and so does he, then the very next frame the ball doesn't move but he moves, etc. This is because he has been sped up, it defies all film logic. This discredits all of his skill and leaves it to question.

Most of the clips in this video are legit, but the wall ball is not. Slow the video to 0.25x and you can see that the ball disappears from up high and reappears near his hand. He is indded a skilled swordsman, but he shouldn't have added edited videos to make himself look cooler. It has the opposite effect.

Yeah it’s cool but the draw style he uses is taboo in English I think it would be called high heaven aka a bato style draw if he messes up with a real sword he could cut his arm or leg if mastered the speed and power can’t be matched or defended and to show that u mastered it u have to preform it on your teacher so only 1 person can master it at a time could be bullshit I read a book called Black Death the deadliest fighting techniques and style old as piss I found at a yard sell some of the stuff was true in it pressure points and shit

Yeah, especially the staff spinning ping pong. The ball is missing from too many frames, and they are all frames when the ball should impact the staff. Also, sometimes the staff is in the wrong location or is at a completely wrong angle and movement direction to cause a bounce towards the wall.
