Martin Truex Jr. ended months of speculation with the announcement that he will retire from full-time competition at the end of the 2024 NASCAR season.
Truex Jr.'s lengthy career has spanned two decades, from his debut with Chance 2 Motorsports and two Xfinity Series championships racing for Dale Earnhardt Jr. to getting caught up in the Michael Waltrip Racing "spingate" at Richmond in 2013 to reviving Furniture Row Racing's thrilling championship run in 2017. Now, Truex decided it's time to stop racing full-time.
In this clip from PRN's Fast Talk, we're reflecting on the career of Martin Truex Jr. as he winds down a successful stint in NASCAR's top series. Kyle Petty explains why he's a firm believer in drivers not coming back on a part-time basis and why Truex would be best served to enjoy retirement rather than wasting his time trying to keep up with full-time drivers. #NASCAR
