I thought that was an interesting comment as well… I’ve never seen someone opposed to a dual label. Way easier as a manufacturer to do that rather than stock Mac and Windows options, not to mention easier for the consumer to have either available for future proofing

🤦‍♂️ this dude is really complaining that there is mention of the other OS on his keyboard. This was a huge selling point for me. Mac for work, windows for gaming. Seems like a very common usecase.

I buy from Best Buy 100% because if there’s a problem, they swap it right there. No shipping, no emailing, no waiting, no BS. I got this keyboard and the MX Master 3s. The mouse wheel was noisy. Problem with alignment maybe. I just brought it back and they swapped it. New one is perfect. Best Buy is smart for making it easy. It’s something Amazon can’t match.

I've thought about finding the ambient light sensor and covering it with a small piece of paper/tape.

on mac and m1/2? I sometimes have lags when starting up (MX keys MAC), but when turn the keyboard on/off it works normal again.. so some bluetooth connection or other issue between devices. Hasn't happened in a while tho.

@@tonut.2684 Macs have this weird input lag with all my wireless keyboards. There's something seriously wrong with the M1 models and the bluetooth controller.

That's crazy because I get virtually no lag but my power switch has an issue where it wont turn my board on if the switch is turned on all the way. So it's like I have to move the switch to the right but then move it back 1cm and the keeb functions normally but without doing that then I'd be in a predicament where I'd think my board was broken but aside from that I have very few complaints using this keyboard

I honestly really like having them together on the same sets of keys. I alternate between Windows and Mac on my main setup quite often and I'd rather not swap the keys when I do so. I think the USB receiver needs a couple of firmware updates. The firmware it shipped with had the Option/Command flipped, which isn't a huge deal, but after a firmware update, it seems to randomly decide to flip itself or sometimes not to flip itself, so I have to reset my settings once in a while. It's honestly not a huge deal for me because this change is relatively rare. Like you mentioned, this doesn't happen on Bluetooth, only when using the USB, but I overall prefer USB when possible because then I can use my Thunderbolt dock to switch my whole setup from PC to Mac. I'm using the red and it's extremely quiet; it's easily the quietest mechanical keyboard at the office in a row full of engineers who are keyboard nerds who have spent a lot more than I have on mine. It's also pretty good for RTS games.

do they ask to send back the broken ones?

I've seen that their warranty is 1 year, are you sending these back within that timeframe? If so, then it's pretty bad they wear out within the year.

Quite ridiculous problems for a 200$ keyboard. Seems like Logitech implements Razer's politics - high price for average product.

It's a low profile keyboard, so there isn't much room to add anything. You might be able to layer a super-thin peice of foam between the PCB and bottom plate, but I'm not sure it would be thick enough to do much good.

Yeah, you can set up the bolt receiver as device 1, and BT for the other two. It swaps fine, though it takes a second or two to negotiate (as usual). I use this to swap between my HTPC (bolt) and my work laptop (BT).

Yeah, my thought was that the PCB got bent or otherwise developed a crack in that area that damaged the traces, which would have the same effect.

​@@KyleErickson ​ Yeah, that seemed like the only thing left to do. Fortunately I am within the 1 year warranty period so the process via their online chat support was really good and handled well. Hopefully I will have the replacement soon.

Still rocking Logitech, although I'm using the Mx Keys mini right now. I might switch to the lighter mac version of this one though.

I think it all depends on your preference. I do think the MX keys are spread out much more than the mx mechanical - so just something to be aware of. I much prefer the MX keys, but I've got pretty slender fingers and I don't have many issues with comfortability on most keyboards

I don’t have any issues with the backlight personally, but often I am using a screen bar at my desk so maybe I just notice it less

I’ve had mine a couple days but I’m likely to send it back. The backlight timeout is ridiculous. Mine is 10 seconds not 30 and it seems to be controlled solely by the sensor and not key presses. When gaming I’ll use the WASD keys without moving my hand and the light constantly goes out. Might have kept it if they gave an option to turn off the backlight sensor or if they gave an option in the software to extend the time out to minutes instead of seconds. If you plan to turn the backlight off then maybe it’s worthwhile but it doesn’t seem very premium either that’s the second con. Oh well.

Did the same as you: bought the G915 TKL (tactile/brown) and I absolutely love it. So I went ahead and bought the MX Mechanical Mini (tactile/brown) this year and it is also amazing. They definitely have a different feel, where as the MX is a bit more thocky. The G915 I use at home and the MX is for the office + studio. They are both amazing and I would say I love them equally, so I can highly recommend them both. G915 for home/gaming and the MX for work/travel. Do note that I am not a mechanical keyboard snob and these are my first mechanical keys ever.

Author already mentioned that Logitech kb is targeted more to mainstream user. Such mainstream user (me) most of the time is not interested in messing around with switches, keycaps, boards etc. He just needs good keyboard for work and games.

I bought a budget mechanical keyboard with blue switches. Not interested in modding it at all.

​ @Comment Warrior Yes, a bigger set of Twilight (for Air75/Air60). I replaced the ESC key, all the numerical row except backspace, all the alphabetical keys (including semicolons, question mark etc.), navigational arrows, and the ENTER key (surprisingly the orange enter fit perfectly and looks awesome). Side keys like backspace, backslash, shifts, alts/opts kinda fit but some of them were a bit sluggish for some reason, so I decided to keep the original ones from MX. Also, it looks like left CAPS has some kind of proprietary stabilizer. As it was mentioned - unfortunately, space isn't compatible. Function keys (esc row) also can be easily replaced but the legends are a bit different. Nyphy keys have a tighter fit, so you need to press them harder than the original ones to attach to switches and level them with the rest. Looks very nice, you cannot say that they don't match with mx keys at the first glance. Unfortunately, no light comes through nuphy keys if you look at it at pinch dark, but light leaks around so you can see individual keys (but not legends). Also, even with very little light from a monitor, you can easily see the legends. I think it makes sense to do the "upgrade" as it really feels and sounds much better. @@ThatGuyOverThereWeird Sure, no problem. I'm also not a big mechanical keyboard specialist :) but I like it much more than a regular mx and an apple magic. And also I was doubtful about using nuphy caps but for some reason, they make a difference indeed. Yeah, why not, try nuphy keyboard as well maybe you'll like it more, if not, it shouldn't be a problem to return or sell it (and let me know how do you like it :)). I chose full mx mechanical, as I had long time experience using original mx and like the option to easily switch between 3 computers (and the num pad :)).
