Agree ! It seems to be her more chameleonic song ever - she can pretty much morph it into anything, and it's still good. Great how she interpolates it with Donna Summer's "Love to love you baby" here ! However, my favorite version is the one she included on the "Step back in time" compilation medley (over the track for "The One").

For those who don’t know, the bass/guitar line and strings are from the original full length version of Donna Summer’s “Love To Love You Baby”. This is a brilliant mashup and one of the best versions of “Slow” yet. Cheers.

The odd thing is, although it is often said Confessions has disco influences, it does not really use disco elements, such as strings, horns, or piano, in ways to make it *feel* disco. It seems more 80's electronica and contemporary club music than disco. Still a great modern dance-pop album, though!!! Probably Madonna's best album and most iconic era this 21st century.
