In Marvel's Spiderman Far From Home, something really struck me about Mysterio.
Let's examine Quentin Beck and compare him to Kylo Ren in the Star Wars sequel trilogy. This analysis will cover how Ben Solo and Quentin both transformed from hero to villain, what their primary motivation was, and how we can learn from their mistakes.

Ben Solo didn't fall to the dark side because he wanted power. He fall and became Kylo Ren because he was made to believe he wouldn't be able to live up to his legendary legacy.

@@DarthdYT listen man, I'm just glad that you're OK. You're the only SW's creator out here REALLY speaking the truth who is willing to call out toxicity in the fanbase as quickly as you call out LucasArts creative execs. Unfortunately you're playing 5D chess and practically everyone misses it but I don't. I catch it like corona. You troll the feeble minded like a god and I'm here for it. I just know how easy burnout happens to creators who put in the effort you do.

Ironically it's actually been more of a "physical burnout", where I still WANT to edit every day but I'm too exhausted most days to do anything outside my normal 8-5 (plus I've been sick with different ailments since December which didn't help). But fingers crossed I'm on the mend and back at it.

@@DarthdYT @Darth'd well exhaustion weakens your immune system worse than everything except full blown AIDS. Running yourself ragged probably has something to do with your ailments. Either way I wish you speedy recovery and good health. In the meantime check out the channel "The Bread Circus" he's a new creator that's basically the Spiffing Britt Star Wars edition. It's truly great stuff

I assumed that Sidious manipulated Kylo in the guise of a Anakin/Vader force-ghost or in a dream in the same way that Sidious seemed to enhance Anakin's fear of being powerless to protect his mother and Padme. Isn't it part of the definition of a villain to be twisted in a way that they destroy the very thing they are trying to protect?

Ironic that if you think about it Quentin legit could have been a real hero if he just embraced the drone aspects. He literally could have been “Drone Man” lol

Exactly my thoughts. He was probably more focused on revenge than actually being a "hero", but yeah, the whole story is a great example of already possessing the thing you were searching for.

It is better if they make Kylo Ren like Voldermort who ashamed of his Muggle father and want to be a pure blood, it give a stronger reason why he kill his father but not his mother and lead to stronger message with Rey Nobody where bloodline doesn't matter. Then they can continue with an interesting plot of evil Jedi abusing non-Jedi people... It is a miss-opportunity because we never see such thing in SW universe, people with magic power and no magic power are always live peacefully. Nobody fear the Jedi. Realistically, people with magic will dominate non-magic people, if they're bad evil sorcerer of course, they could make that what Kylo Ren wanted by making him the main villain...but we got TROS instead.

@@DarthdYT Kylo want to "finish what Vader started", this is vague. We can assume it taken from "The Force Unleashed" game where Vader making force sensitive clones, so perhaps it is an idea of a utopia of dark aligned force sensitive only people in the galaxy. This explain why he just blow up 5 planets like it is nothing. He is not a Sith, meaning he is not into Palpatine's idea of a world, he is with his own madness, whatever he believed what Vader wanted.

Unfortunately there are nearly no facts about Ben Solo as far as the films are concerned. There are multiple possible reasons for why he turned to the dark side but none are official because the writers never actually fleshed out his backstory. I'm covering this idea in-depth in an upcoming video on Kylo.

@@DarthdYT Supposedly, there was some throwaway line about Palpatine somehow manipulating Ben while pretending to be Vader's ghost or some crap, even though it's absurd for Palpatine to be able to do that sort of thing and not be noticed.

Honestly Ben Solo should had been a Jedi to begin with and his own person instead of a Anakin/Vader wannabe that narratively doesn’t make any sense for any grandchildren of Anakin Skywalker to turn to the dark side after return of the jedi because they would know the story of Anakin to beginning and end knows the dark side isn’t worth it. In my opinion I think Ben solo should had been the main lead instead of Rey considering she was kinda bland and has nothing to do with the previous movies.

@@DarthdYT Yeah as for Jedi Ben Solo lightsaber color it should a green crossguard because blue is overrated it a iconic color but it over use too much.

A flaw in every story, sadly. Like, there's some pretty amazing fanfic out there but only in concept, as most "normal people" aren't trained writers to properly craft a story.
