L322 Range Rover HSE 5.0 Muffler Delete

2011 Range Rover L322 HSE 5.0 muffler delete. Custom welded in pipes where the old muffler went. It went from very quiet to a very loud and aggressive sounding truck. Cracks and bangs on down shifts.
Stock Exhaust "Windows Up" and "Windows Down" labels are reversed, my apologies.

For those considering doing this, I wouldn't recommend running the pipes anywhere but in the stock location, and ensuring the exhaust exits behind the vehicle. This is a really good way to melt your bumper and heat up your interior RSE module rendering it useless. Does sound good though.

It drones a little bit but really not bad, only can hear it when going higher speeds and the revs are up

I have the exact same car. I am thinking of doing this. Any engine codes/faults being thrown?? Would love to know if a muffler delete will make weird things happen.

Have had zero issues with my 2011 HSE 5.0 n/a and have been rocking the muffler delete for almost a year 👍

It’s a 2011, I didn’t remove the cats just did the rear mufflers

It’s been decent, just spent a lot of money fixing oil leaks on the front of the engine, and replacing some of my air suspension. These are the first problems I’ve had though and I’m at 100,000 miles and drive mine hard off road

@@chrisrobinson6754 when you give it a rev and people are outside it is. However inside it sounds beautiful. Even outside when you do a fly by it sounds amazing. I’f you’ve got stock supercharged tips however be very careful with the pops ands bangs as I blew the fibre glass insulation in the resonated tip.

How do you like the sound so far? How is it while driving on highway noisy?

It's pretty nice, it is a little loud driving down the highway with a little drone so it can be a bit annoying but overall if you have the radio on its not bad at all.

Depends if you have the double pane windows! I get zero drone and it’s actually relatively quiet with the windows up. (Rear suitcase muffler removed only)
