This song changed my life. I heard this on the radio 10 years ago and made the decision to find more music like it. My journey has led me to discover greats like The Gathering, Epica, Ayreon, Dream Theater, Kamelot, Opeth, Symphony X, and countless others and counting. Though this song pales in comparison to my current favorites, I will never forget my roots.

Lacuna Coil, Evanescence and In This Moment are my 3 'go to' bands for those times I'm feeling the need to reignite the fire of passion inside my own soul. They really get me going when I need to bring light to my life and get things moving for it. They give me the inspiration to work for a better tomorrow for myself. Music is a drug for my soul that I need no rehab for. It makes my emotions flow like a beautiful flood and gives me the strength to keep going.

I remember seeing this band 10 years ago live, they had the deepest hardest hitting bass iv ever heard live, and iv seen all the mainstream metal bands! You could feel the vibration and boom of the bass guitar from your head run down your body and exit your toes, truly an awesome experience that hasn't been duplicated to this day!!

Yeah, she has said this in an interview.. and my speculation is that this song was about the bass player. Christina and the bass player used to date, if you notice in the beginning Christina throws a dagger star, and the bass player appears on screen only to dodge the dagger. "Miss me with your love" they have aLOT of layered meaning in their music and videos.

Well, I just don't take to kindly to irrational anti-religious sentiment. While I'm not a church goer I have lived in a religious atmosphere all my life and it's not as bad as atheists make it out to be. Seriously, the churches that I have attended were the most fun places to be what with all the fun activities like horseback riding, rollerskating, talent contests, holiday parties, etc. etc. You see, Christians are fun people if you hang out with the right Christians. I was given absolutely no motivation to hate all manner of Christianity and Christian beliefs at all enough to write a song about it because the churches I encountered were and still are fun places to be. So yeah, I like my interpretation better that Heaven can be defined by people in their own way, not just religiously.

Hearing this song on the radio is ironically what triggered me to search beyond the radio and MTV to accidentally stumble upon the underground music scene that popular music can't hold a candle to. I don't listen to LC much anymore, but this song is forever enshrined in my mind as a great turning point in my life.

56 here and I just discovered Lacuna Coil. (Thanks to Vampire the Masquerade-Bloodlines RPG) You may know these, but if you haven't check out Nightwish, Epica, and Therion (they sing in Polish I believe but it doesn't matter) . I didn't know stuff like this existed. The feeling this music gives me is like the first time I heard Black Sabbath and Judas Priest. This type of metal just sucks emotions out of me when I listen. Awesome stuff.

this song chills me in such a way, it reminds me a lot of the last recent abusive relationship I had. shows me how free I am from the fantasy world that he wanted to provide me and that revolved exclusively around him. that everyone has the strength to get out of an abusive relationship. ❤️🔥

Okay. 13 seems a normal age to find bands. I've listened to metal since I was in elementary school. Lacuna Coil is in my age group. I'm about the same age as their bassist, Maki. At 13, I think you liking Lacuna Coil was a good choice in music. I was raised on everything from classical on up to death metal. Teen years are definitely known to be angry. I'd like to forget my 13 yr old self for many reasons. Glad to read you on here.
