Hello out there! 🤗🌹 Today I want to share a fun Off Mandrel technique…. The Double Fold Marble. This is a great way to explore different color combinations and practice heat your control. The design comes from twisting and folding the glass…which is always exciting! ✨
I have been a bit under the weather lately… And it is getting very hot and humid in the dungeon! So…I will be back with more demos after a short break. Thank you so much for joining me…I will see you all soon!!🙏🏽🌈🌹🌹🌹

Love the marble Robin and the technique you used to make it. I’ve used that technique myself before and it does bring out such beautiful marbles. I find your use of dichro in this marble perfect it just shows that a small amount can’t go a long way and do a lot for a piece of glass artwork. Any way how are you and Patrick doing? Are you enjoy your time on your torch? And is Patrick enjoying what he is doing? Also are you enjoying the lovely weather where you are? Our weather in Wolverhampton UK is up and down at the moment, one minute it’s 86 Fahrenheit then next it 55.4F so the weather cannot make up its mind. I’m nearly there with the business, the website is up just not fully functional yet but accessible to look at which is annoying as I’m losing sales. All my socials are up and hopefully next week sometime I will be doing lives on FB, KZfaq and Kick. I have new business accounts for all my socials which are slowly starting to thrive also so maybe the jewellery business will get off the ground within the next month once my ID comes and I can set up my website payment system fully. I hope you enjoy your next week that is coming & your 4th July celebrations. Say hi to Patrick for me please. Look after yourself and stay safe my friend ❤️ 🌹

Hello Kelly! 🤗🌹 Great to hear from you! ✨ I’m glad that you have done this technique before… That’s awesome! I love how many different color combinations, and how thick and thin the lines can be. So much to explore and fun to play with. I’m glad to hear that you’re almost up and running online. All of that is so overwhelming to me…I applaud your dedication! 😍 The weather here got so hot and humid that i couldn’t even go into the dungeon without immediately sweating…uhhh! Today was much cooler and I was able to play around a bit. Patrick is doing well…(I had a bout with Covid and he never caught it!) 😅 I’m glad that we have a short work week coming up….i need a break! lol! Great to hear from you my friend!! Also dam with the heat I wouldn’t be able to cope with it being to hot, 90 degrees F is enough for me. I’m glad it has finally cooled down enough in the dungeon for you to go to get on the torch. This time was not as bad as the first but still wiped me out….the heat didn’t help! 😂 Just started a 4 day holiday….yea! I can’t wait to sleep in! lol! 😆 The weather has cooled a bit. @@scottwoodresearch it sucks when your ill and it’s really hot but I’m really happy your feeling better. I’m so glad it wasn’t as bad for you this time around. Do you remember when the governments were saying you can only get this once!!!! What a load of c**p the governments don’t know what they are talking about. I’m so glad it’s cooled down but most of all i’m so glad is cooled down in the dungeon so you can go have a play as I bet it was miserable for you not being able to get on the torch or having to put up with the heat when all you wanted to do was enjoy yourself and be one with the glass and torch. Enjoy your long weekend of sleep and enjoy the rest as you sure do deserve it as you work really hard. Say hi to Patrick for me please and I hope he enjoy’s the long weekend of rest. Also Happy 4th July to you both. Almost everything is ok at my end apart from my back, neck, hips, pelvis and numbness in my arms and legs playing up but I’m coping with it this is all from where I damaged my back three weeks ago. I keep falling due to my legs which isn’t helping my back but I’ve been here before. I’ll go to the hospital if it gets to problematic. Thank you for caring. What a lovely marble! I will give it a try! I do have a question about the metal punty. I’ve only used glass punties. So you pull the metal out and there’s a glob of glass on it. How do you get that glass off? Do you stick it in water or just let it cool on its own?

Hi Lisa! ✨🌹 Thanks so much! You will enjoy playing with this technique! 🤗 when I am finished with a punty, I usually put it in water to cool and break the glass off. However, it can be stubborn and sometimes I have to take a pliers and crunch off the glass …or carefully reheat it and dip it back in water. (Basically whatever it takes!😅). I hope you try the metal punty….it was a game changer for me! ✨✨✨Cheers and happy flameworking- Robin 🌈👋🏽💫
