I have never tried the Hades, but I’ve gotten webbing with Effetre Intense Black used the same way - thin stringers on Dark Ivory then cooked a bit. It has been a few years since I have done much Lampworking with 104. Watching your demos is getting me back into it. So much fun! 😁

Hello Joanne! ✨🌹 I’m so happy that you have been inspired!! 🤗 it’s fascinating to see the webbing happening in the flame. I’m trying to find other colors that will webb-out like the ivory does. Not all colors make that reaction with the intense black…I did not know that until recently. There are so many colors to try! 😅 Thanks so much for sharing! Cheers- Robin 🌈🌹✨✨

What amazing expensively and beautiful rose buds/flowers you have made out of glass Robin. The way your mind works is truly amazing and how you get your ideas from your mind to the mandrel is brilliant to watch. I do not know how many will understand this but to make these piece in basically what is two different types gold glasses is bold but I also think an outstanding risk for gorgeous rewards for these two fabulous pieces of flowered glass artwork. You have honest god brilliant talent on the torch Robin and are an amazing artist. Enough of the flattery now lol. How are you darling and how’s Patrick? Say hi to Patrick for me please. I hope you have been well and your pain levels have been manageable, the same with Patrick. How’s the heat where you are? My IG is kels_lampworked_glass_and_more From there I’ll send you the link to my FB Page it’s easier to stay in contact that way. Stay safe and look after yourself my friend ❤️ 🌹

Hi Robin -- long time no talk. I'm hoping you can give me some guidance regarding mandrel racks for the Chili Pepper. Can you tell me how it sits? I understand the base ad the front and back with the holes. What I'm not sure about is do you actually put the whole rack into the kiln with the door closed with just the ends of the mandrels sticking out? Is the door slightly open? How do you place mandrels that you have center dipped? So many questions! Hope you are well and that your Summer is going well. Seems to have flown by! I haven't been in my studio for a few weeks. I'm looking forward to getting back to it! Cheers.

Hello Derweasel! 🤗🌹 Great to hear from you! So…I do not have a bead rack in my Chilipepper. I just have some short kiln shelf pieces lining the back of my annealer so I can rest the mandrel on it so my glass doesn’t touch the bottom. My mandrels do stick out under the door about 3 inches or so.✨✨ I tried to look up the bead rack but couldn’t find it…I am assuming that it goes in the oven and that your mandrels will also stick out of the door. It’s ok if the door is slightly open too. The rack sounds interesting! If you can please send a link! 🤗✨ Have fun in your studio!! Thanks so much and hope you are doing well!! Cheers- Robin 👋🏽🌈💫💫💫

@@scottwoodresearchThis turned out to be a great technique for handling a larger volume of soft glass. The metal punty makes all the difference. @scottwoodresearch
@scottwoodresearch 10 күн бұрын
Hello Mirela! ✨🌹 I’m so glad to hear that you have been enjoying the demos and that they have been helpful! 🤗 My favorite bead release is Foster Fire Smooth and Tuff bead release…you can get it from Frantz Art Glass online. It is by far the best I have found! But it can still crack if your mixture is too thin. 💫 About not melting the mandrel…. It depends on what it is made of. The only reason a mandrel would melt is from being too hot. A smaller flame and less heat on the wire can help. I hope this helps!! 🌹✨🌹Thanks so much for reaching out! ✨✨✨Cheers- Robin 👋🏽🌈🤗

Hi Robin, I hope both you and Patrick are ok. I also hope it’s not too hot where you are and it’s comfortable to work down in the dungeon on your torch. Are both you and Patrick both keeping yourselves busy with things you both like/love doing. How was your long 4th of July weekend, did you partake in the celebrations that were going on across America?. I love this bead by the way. It’s a type of bead I’ve thought of doing, but not done. I had a slight different thoughts on it. But the way you have done it is truly stunning. I love the way the dots look really raised even tho you flatten them and melted them in. Also using glass to rake is a brilliant idea I would have used a pick instead but that’s me but you have many more years of experience with glass than me. But I so truly love this bead and watching you work, I wish I could watch you work at proper speed. Have you ever thought of doing lives and making beads on camera while talking to people with people sending messages and you just talking to them on mic and answer their questions? I’m sure so many people would watch, I know I would. You could duel stream on here and Kick. Think about it my friend. Say hi to Patrick for me please. Stay safe and look after yourself ❤️ 🌹

Today is not as bad so I hope to play around a bit this evening. So far nothing to share for this weekend 😞. I have thought about doing live demos but it get anxiety just thinking about it. Maybe at some point I’ll give it a try….we’ll see. 😂 I think I will put some demos out on regular speed though…a few others have asked about it as well. I like to speed them up because most people have short attention span and cannot even get through five minutes of a demo….we see it in the analytics. Hi Lisa! ✨🌹 Thanks so much! You will enjoy playing with this technique! 🤗 when I am finished with a punty, I usually put it in water to cool and break the glass off. However, it can be stubborn and sometimes I have to take a pliers and crunch off the glass …or carefully reheat it and dip it back in water. (Basically whatever it takes!😅). I hope you try the metal punty….it was a game changer for me! ✨✨✨Cheers and happy flameworking- Robin 🌈👋🏽💫

We love storms. This is a beautiful shelf cloud. Did you get a big storm or did it miss you?

Thanks! We love storms as well. This one coming in was just breathtaking. Stopped people in their tracks. It made the news. And a bunch of people posted images on the internet that are worth searching out. And yes we got a big storm. Heavy winds and I’d say better than a couple of inches of rain. Cheers! Patrick

Thanks Basia. It truly was astonishing. Those that saw it either stopped in their tracks or went into whatever building, grabbed whoever they saw and said ‘ you gotta come outside and see this. It made the news and there are many astonishing images on the web that are worth checking out. Thanks again. Cheers! Patrick
