I've got the exact same battery condition tester by Solar...just over 50 quid and the only tester I have had `that has given me an accurate diagnosis of batteries

I remember that in a recent video you were testing the oil pressure with compression gauge - if I remember correctly. A very cooll hack 😎

Those handheld infrared thermometers accuracy depends on the emissivity of the surface you are measuring that's why their accuracy can be a bit iffy, I only use mine for a rough gauge of temp. I think you get the most accurate reading off a black surface.

Just a word of warning on those LYNX systems. If you have a Japanese import discovery 1 it will write over your ECU. I have a 1999 300TDi and it couldn't read the VIN as a 300TDI only as a TD5 and wrote software to the ECU and damaged it meaning I had to get a new ECU and matching AS10 immobiliser matched....absolute nightmare.

The strobe light kit has lasted well I think I remember you getting that .Some one on here I was watching was using a colourtune on a Datsun Z that brought back some memories of trying to make everything go faster years ago instead of just buying something that was fast already a lot of time and money now you need a computer degree as well

Happy days ! The money we spent and the time To get what? Grinding valves etc? A STD Ford can do more than we ever could do! However we learned a lot

I have the most recent version of the Hawkeye and so far it has worked well. I bought it because it works out e very Land Rover model from Classic to L405. I have a P38 and an L322 so need the flexibility. Will probably buy the Gap Diagnostics IIDTool for my L322 as I understand it can do a lot more.

The GAP is designed here in Montreal area - not sure if it is made here - good, but expensive

I had a BlackBox Nanocom Evolution, which was fine for me for my TD5 Disco. Never had a problem with it. I sold it on no problem to a member of a LR forum. Colin at BBS will transfer the license. if needed. I agree that BBS have a weird system of license, but the Nanocom is more a DYI tool.
