Letter Ladies Martha, Dawn and Rena made what might be their final trek to this iconic hillside letter. Dawn and Martha visited the Lewiston, ID "L" three years ago. The hike was a little different this time. To ready the property for sale, a building spot has been punched in..... directly above the "L". So, the hike seemed a little steeper due to a giant dirt pile where there had not been one before. The purchase agreement includes access to the hillside letter for the students at Lewiston High School. But access to the casual passerby will probably not be granted.
On this visit, Rena flew her drone. This is a BIG letter! Having a drone really helps highlight just how large this letter really is.
All in all, it was a beautiful day for a hillside letter hike. Dramatic skies, sweeping views, and green rolling hills. Truly beautiful.
The Letter Ladies explore hillside letters to learn about the rich history and to go on a fun hike. And, when there is a hot springs near by, they are sure to go for a soak.
