I’m glad to see your getting to see all the wild life here in Canada. If I may make a suggestion? On your way to Banff towards the end of your trip to meet up with the misses, you could go through Jasper National Park and then from there go through to Nordagg and then onto Banff. I think you will love the scenery.

The scenery is truly breathtaking. It's clear that two seasoned overlanders have a great skill at choosing routes. Please forgive me for injecting some bad mojo into your comment section, but I have an important message to add. I am serving in Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, and much of my service is done in the forests of Donbas. These were very beautiful forests, but they have been bombed and burned to a shadow of their former selves. You can't stand in one place and look around you without seeing burnt, splintered, and fallen trees, and large bomb craters. The trails are littered with husks of bombed out vehicles. And you can't stray from the trails because of the danger of mines everywhere. Again, I apologize for interrupting your wonderful video. I just know that a large majority of your viewers are patriots, and I ask that everyone take a moment to think of pray for Ukraine in their continued time of need. Thank you.

You’ve definitely added to my wanting to head to the far north (in a few years, after retirement)! The scenic beauty is amazing, as is the wildlife. One correction I’d like to make: It’ll be a little tough finding an Ansel Adams painting as you mentioned - he was a photographer (and environmentalist), not a painter. 😁 And a damn good one at that! But the images in my mind were brought to life just the same. Thanks so much for sharing!

Grew up in central and northern B.C. First trip to Dawson City was in 1958 then I worked two years in the area early sixties. Spent a good portion of my life in Northern B.C. When you mentioned how late it stays light I have to tell a little amusing story on the other end of the scale. First time I was in San Diego middle of summer and it got dark so early. I couldn't believe it. Eight o-clock and dark! As a young kid was use to going to bed in daylight during the summer. Relations we were visiting was playing with their kids and thought for sure would be in serious trouble getting home after dark:)

Hand guns are restricted in Canada you are not allowed to bring them in to the country. If you get caught at the border, it will be seized and not returned, and you can be denied entry. Certain Long guns are permitted, but you need to make a prior application and have all the proper documentation. Bear spray and mace may also be considered illegal as well so best to check prior to travel.
