I wasn't aware the 787 can start both engines at once, must have a pretty powerful APU. Great footage as always.

Watched it all now...fascinating and fabulous close up shots. Observations include...seeing how big some of these aircraft really when seeing the ground crew underneath, the pilots way up high in the Ethiopian 787 (ET-AOP) chatting animatedly just before push back, seeing all the screens lit up on the back of the seats as it slowly headed for the taxi, the flare out (including momentary flames and smoke) from the Thomas Cook 321 (G-TCDD) engines when starting up and the great rear shot with the tail flaps waving like a great whale as it pulled away! Keep em coming...that was a treat!

thanks Mark. with it being dark, it does give a different perspective on everything, notice more of certain things but less of others. The larger aircraft are huge when you get near it and wonder how does this thing fly

@@MTAviation Yes, we all know its about velocity, wing profile, low and high pressure etc....but seeing those enormous craft rise up into the sky always fills me with awe and amazement! I was travelling down the M4 into London once and kept gawping (carefully lol) at an A380 coming into Heathrow and it just seemed to be hanging there miraculously in the sky!

Brilliant imagery...only watched a few mins so far...stunning view of the Ethiopian 787 being positioned (he wasn't hanging about!). The darkness and lights really add "emotion" to what may seem mundane to those working on the ground. Thanks again MT! Will watch more later 😊

I don’t think anyone working around these magnificent planes could ever call it mundane.I can trully say watching these films and all that goes on has cured my fears of flying. I know it’s silly but I now have 100 % percent confidence in the pilots and planes. I’m in more danger on the motorway oh dear

@@elaineblackhurst1509 Yeh I know...and agree. Don't fear flying but what a thrill to be up close to some of these marvellous machines that soar our skies! The MT team really do keep us entertained don't they!

Mark Tomlinson yes im a new subscriber to this mt aviation I did it after a turbulant flight left me afraid and it’s really helped. I’ve got a sis in Florida desperate for me to go again so hopefully I’ll be mentally fit ha ha to go soon. Sadly my big favourite Airbus380 does not go there that is my dream plane I love Airbus technology not that I know much this is a new sort of hobby for me as I’m mot into putting my life on Facebook like the rest of the world at my age. Thanks for your reply though

That Manchester airport terminal 2 transformation looks nearly complete, does Qatar Airways 787 flys often with 777 and a350

the first part of the expansion is due to be open in a couple of months and then the rest of it gradually over the next 10 years

have flown from Heathrow to Addis Ababa (and return) en-route to Harare on Ethiopian 787 good service great cabin crew/crew

Another outstanding film. Never knew Ethiopian airways came here.Does anyone bother with Gatwick or Heathrow now if you can travel the world from Manchester my home. Funny thing is I don’t hear a lot of noise from Airport especially at night.

you can fly to a lot of places direct from MAN now, and almost all major destinations around the world in one stop. the airport doesn't have any scheduled departures after 10pm i think and the arrivals only trickle in during the night, maybe having 5 scheduled between 12-5am. then at 6, the first departure takes off
