You do know this is meant to be a piss take fun song. It’s not meant to be taken seriously. Weezer are not a serious band. Rivers Does seem to have a split personality though.

@xander18788 well said man, I've loved weezer for a long time too, and it was their heavier hooks like blue album and pinkerton that got me into them, but this is really great, so energetic! you cant help but smile when you see rivers who used to be so shy and reserved jumping around and getting so involved. and as for raditude.....love it!!!!!!!

Voted the worst Weezer song on some ranked sites, but... I love it! One of their best, in my humble opinion.

This song shows the versatility of one of my top personal favorite bands. ''Only in Dreams'' there best song IMO. Rivers, gets better and better even after his injuries. And he suffers from severe social anxiety as I do so I relate to him very much, on that level.

@fana406 That's pretty much what happened. Weezer was signed up to Geffen records, who told them that they needed more mainstream material for Make Believe and The Red Album. This is where we got the songs Troublemaker, Beverly Hills, and Pork and Beans. This song, Can't Stop Partying, is off of Raditude and is full of feeble attempts at perfect pop music. The album failed and Geffen dropped Weezer from their label. Now their new album (Hurley) sounds more like Weezer did originally.
