+HKsocko I agree, I am only subscribed today even though I have watched quite a few of her videos because many of the ones listed in her channel previously were cakes and sweet things that I'm not really into but Pastas, Rice dishes, Curries, Stir fries, traditional breads, reasonably healthy foods ie. Not sugar but yes to fats and healthy oils that sort of food I am :D

I'm surprised no one has mentioned this, but the whole purpose of using vodka in the tomato creme sauce is to activate flavor compounds in the tomato that are not soluble in water or fat. That's why Laura mentioned how the tomato smelled after she added it - alcohol is a top solvent. And that's why omitting it is a mistake.

I tried making pasta vodka but it tasted very similar to arabiatta with cream. How do I make sure that vodka reacts well with the tomato?

I would add my herbs with the onion and garlic. When you toast your herbs, you're adding another layer of flavor.

I made this last night and it was the best vodka sauce we ever had! I didn't have any vodka on hand so I used a little chicken broth to pick up the flavors from the pan. Awesome recipe as usual Laura!!
