@@barong1831 At 5:04 his direct quote is he doesn't buy that the whole team agreed to that. "Whole team," he says. Not the huddle. Whole team. The context is that Jameis said this was a "team decision" (as opposed to a coaching decision) they made, so he is responding directly to Jameis' comments with skepticism that he got the entire roster to agree to this decision. Maybe he did get one guy, maybe two, maybe eleven, certainly not 53. The only point you are potentially correct about here was that immediately before this, LaVar also speculates maybe only Jameis and the RB knew. But he had a longer point than that starting at 5:04 again. The secondary point being made here implicitly (and alluded to somewhere, but I'm not rewatching) is that the defense almost certainly wouldn't agree to this decision. They wouldn't want it happening in practice. They don't want it happening to them the next time they face the Falcons or any other team that decides to abuse the honor system.

RE: The Atlanta Falcons as a destination for potential head coaching candidates…getting a serviceable, coachable quarterback will be easier than finding a legitimately talented coach who is willing to work for someone like Arthur Blank (and Rich McKay). Doesn’t anyone think it strange that, as deep as Mr. Blank’s pockets are, he always ends up hiring the same type of candidate to be his head ball coach. Never a proven head coach with a record of success…always these coordinators that no other team would give consideration to for the same position. Blank doesn’t want to hire someone that cannot directly influence. This team’s success MUST be on Blank’s terms, with Blank being in a position to claim a disproportional share of the credit. He’s basically Jerry Jones without the benefit of those first Jimmy Johnson years. No head coach worth a d@mn is willing to work for someone like that.
