Monte and Wolf wrap up the LCK finals and regional qualifiers, discussing in detail each team from Korea that will be attending the League of Legends World Championship. While KT might not have ended their season as we'd hoped, they still cruised to a third seed for Worlds and can redeem themselves on home turf. Dplus KIA proved their mettle by defeating a lackluster Hanwha Life, but revitalized Showmaker means a much higher ceiling for the team consisting of three former world champions. The guys wrap up their final show of the year with reflections on the entire season of LCK and their hopes for Korean rosters at Worlds!

LCK was definitely more exciting to watch as someone who didn't really care about it when it came to the regular season. Small snippets of Monte & Wolf show also helped get me into it and now I've become a regular watched, mostly of the show, but also an LCK viewer when it comes to most big matches.

Thanks for the episode guys! Sad about KT more than anything, especially with All-Pro First team voting going for 5/5 KT players and MVP going to Lehends and considering their first place finish in the regular season, you expected SO much more out of them. It feels like a huge disappointment. Regardless they'll have another chance at glory at the World Championship, excited to see what all 4 LCK representatives can do there. Cheers!

I haaaaate the argument about T1 going through lower bracket and therefore having a disadvantage. That's what Gen G did in spring and they still destroyed T1 in finals. But now all of a sudden when it's T1 in lower bracket it's a problem. Just sounds like a pathetic excuse for bad performance

Yep. Either the team wins cause they ramped up through lower brackets or they lost cause enemy team could study them through lower bracket. It's both neither or only one depending on the narrative.

When your mid laner can only play 2 champions because of an injury and the opposite team sees that literally 1 day before the series its no shocker its not a fair comparison heck if t1 won it would be so bad for the region that faker can play literally 2 champions and wins lck

@@chrissears5482 LGD gaming they barely got out to play ins. They were like 1-6 in play ins. In 2018 with Kingzon Dragon X during MSI he was clusterfuking every game. The point is that he gaps domesticly but never internationally

coaching diff for KT vs T1 tbh. KT should've play around Kiin as he is the carry. BDD with Aiming can't really carry the team. Kiin and Aiming should be the players in that role. KT's coaching staff didn't give top side enough resources as T1 did in the series.

NGL as a KT Rolster fan this season was a strange season for me, for one hand I was hopeful but always knowing that they would fail because it is KT. The fact that they lost should make me devasted but it doesn't, the whole Monte shtick of "it is a prophecy" got old really fast and incredibly boring and I just wanted to hear what excuses he has now that they lost as they would always do. This was the time in 5 YEARS that KT was in spotlight and while I cheered for them in crazy game 5s, the first feeling when they lost wasn't sadness but relief that Monte was not right in his shtick and we could finally move on from it. KT is still a very strong team, and just like the top three seeds from China, this year I think that the top three seeds from Korea have a real chance to win Worlds given the right meta and the right draw.

I mean KT did what they always do, choke against T1. a T1 team that looks like a 3rd or 4th seed LCK team. Everytime KT fans get excited they choke so the narrative is still kinda the same. The question is if they can bounce back and have a strong showing at worlds. Time will tell.

I can only see an LCK team getting into world finals if group draws are bs or all the LPL teams blow up(one does every year). LPL has very very strong teams this year, 3 of them are constantly good too. Tho tbh, I'd love to watch T1 lose another final.

@@mattiasjohannorglaan2967 Can't fully agree because every year since 2019 China has been considered the best region easily and yet qualifying to Worlds Semi-finals Korea is 8-6 against China and in quarters Korea is also ahead 14-10 from 2019 to 2022. I agree that Chinese teams feel better #1 to #4 but I never count Korea out, specially after DRX miracle run.

@@mauriciobetimpaesleme8702 Oh no, i 100% agree that China always has one or two teams that just blows up, but there is also A LOT of cannibalism at international events besides the recent MSI. However, since 2018, internationally China has won 7 titles compared to 2 of Korea's. I don't think Korea is bad, but this is definitly the worst form they've gone to worlds with in a long time. Gen G looks to be the only hope right now with KT falling apart and T1.. well.. DRX was a serious fluke though, but a happy one. :D

It’s funny that Monte keeps going off on Fwker only playing 2 champions, but he basically outplayed BDD every game BDD wasn’t on Tristana. What about BDDs champion pool? HLE was so bad those series don’t count.

Even after the season ended both of this guys still high up with KT. I want accountability! Where's your KT would definitely win talks now? At least talk about they're disappointing playoffs run. Talk about how T1 beat them and how T1 got obliterated. Kinda sounds like you're both tiptoeing around your KT predictions.

For people that are wondering why faker champion pool is so small. It comes down to the wrist injury. It makes it very difficult and I think he scared to make mechanical mistakes. So he only picks champions that are easy.

While Faker has played many champions in the past, you still need recent practice on those champs to play at the highest level. With Faker's injury, it's most likely he couldn't practice on all the champs he wanted so they needed to narrow his pool.

Being a t1 fan is the most miserable thing ever. Because they are the most consistently inconsistent team in the world. You always have to expect a choke from them, but you will ALWAYS have hope because you know that the team is a bunch of fkin weirdos that can turn into the dream team at a snap of a dkin finger. Tbh I would rather be a bro fan, drx fan or any other fan of other org no matter the region. Because there is no other team that can bring out the highest of high, but also bring the lowest of low to you. The only team that can beat this in terms of stress as a fan, is if somehow the shy joins t1 and it becomes the most flippy floppy team ever assembled in the earth. Tbh I kinda want faker to go jungle, rookie on mid, shy top and Guma + keria bot, cuz that would be the most cursed team to be ever assembled. All players have curses and it would just be the craziest ride ever as a viewer.

Been a DamWon fan since 2019. Every year I've said they have a shot at winning worlds. Every year except 2021 nobody believed me until the end of summer, at which point everyone suddenly starts calling them their "Dark Horse".

The problem is that the players take turns being inconsistent. It's either Faker, Keria, Oner, Zeus, or sometimes all of them. I love the team, but it's becoming difficult to be fan. At least you know they always reach the finals

As an HLE fan definitely was a tough way to go out, I think grizzly will be better but the main issues if this team wants to get anywhere is to get another jg, a more shot calling support. And a coach that can draft well bc dandy’s drafts all year have been suspect
