How do you practice the pentatonic scale? In this lead guitar quick tip lesson we will look at how the pros use the pentatonic scale. We can play blues rock lead guitar solos by creating solo guitar phrases within the A minor pentatonic scale. This is an intermediate pentatonic soloing guitar lesson.

People need to learn the note finder exercise. Locate every A note, every B note, etc. Pick your key, then target the root notes, and know where the IV & V notes are in the I IV V chord progression. You should have the pentatonic box shapes memorized so you can go in and out of the neighboring shapes. Look up the frying pan pattern for pentatonics and play with that as well.

Wow rusty!! That is so sweet man.what I love about u is the way u explain how u show in depth about targeting those roots ur absolutely correct so important. I started guitar lessons about 3 months back to advanced myself and knowing now some theory and about were notes are across the fretboard it just opens doors for ur playing! Learning triads in em dm am! Basic 3 octave em scale wow just really helps guitar playing and understand what ur playing.i have so much to learn and it is very overwhelming!! 1 lesson a week does me and I practice daily constantly with metronome that is what helps the most!!! But triads helps most understand were notes are,and how chords are built up,I do feel my rythem is slightly rubbish but I will have to work on that! I always come back to u rusty always! U are the lick master solo blues king?

I like to set my amp very clean. Then I will use an overdrive pedal to add some gain to the sound. Then I always add some reverb. Having a good sound of something you really need to work at. I hope you find a sound that works for you. Catch you later.👍
