It's great to see Leah Williamson back and doing what she does best; that was a wonderful ball to Beth Mead, who struck it beautifully. I'm a big fan of Kim Little too; a consistently brilliant player and a complete mystery, rarely posting on social media. I'm still secretly hoping that Preath comes to Aston Villa, even for a season. I don't know whether you've heard but Lisa Evans has signed to Bristol City, who have a massive game today against her previous club, West Ham. Could be a WSL relegation decider.

So excited to see Leah Williamson back on the pitch and making an assist for Beth Mead. Hope that also Laura Wienroither will be able to return to the pitch soon. I'm, of course, also hoping to see Christen and Tobin be able to return too. I'm a Thorns fan, but didn't (don't) expect Tobin to return. Happy that Becky remained loyal to the Thorns. I'm an out and loud activist for the LGBTQIA+ community. On the one hand, it's important to have prominent role models for the community. Christen and Tobin might have been an excellent role model. On the other hand being in the spotlight can also have negative repercussions as you see with Ali and Ash. It's everybody's own decision how out and loud they want and can be. Some might want to call it a privilege to be private, but this is easy when you don't know the personal circumstances. Happy that Christen and Tobin don't deny it, but fully respect their wish to be more private about it. It comes back to the discussions if it's still necessary to come out these days or just live a "normal" relationship just like any other couple.

I'd like to see Tobin and Christen play this year, but I'm afraid that Tobin has moved on to a focus on RE-INC'S podcasts. RE: podcast with Glennon and Abbie. My takeaway from the podcast is they're committed to each other. Tobin has been wearing the Gold band for several years. I'd like to see preath play together again. 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊 10:53 😊😊

Heath and Press were both wonderful players and as such great role models for girls wanting to take up the game. Whether their relationship is such a positive example is questionable. Heath seems to me to have convinced a far more committed Press to enter not just an open relationship but a timebound one at that, with a get-out clause for a 7 year itch. If she were a man I doubt so many people would praise Heath for such a 'fresh' and 'innovative' approach to their relationship.

Think i’ve said this before but it took me a long time to ‘get/love’ Leah. But omg, now? Everything you said…I can’t say it better than you did 😘. I adored our previous Captain, Super-cool Steph, but hey, I’m a devoted Man City fan so maybe i was a bit biased, BUT I am now honestly, genuinely proud of Leah when she is being our (England’s) gracious, cool Captain! I 💙 Jess Flemming’s style of play. She’s so good to watch! So happy for her that she’ll presumably get more playing time in the NWSL 🙏 Ps. Very interesting point by @rasclotify. I honestly can never get my own head around where I stand on this topic 🤷‍♀️

Omg yes. I always liked leah but in the last year ive become so enthralled with her. Shes so beautiful and talented. England (and arsenal) are so lucky to have her!

Definitely looking forward to Christen getting back on the field but I honestly think that Tobin is done. Even if she isn't, unfortunately, she just seems completely incapable of staying healthy; but damn what a career she had.

Sheeee's back baby!!!! Leah (apart from a couple of rogue passes) looked like she was back to her old self, spraying passes finding players with crosses. Plus of course providing a typically Williamson-esq, perfectly weighted long pass to Beth who waited for the ball to bounce and then banged in a screamer. Ahhhhhh those heady days are back folks. Only thing that is still bothering me is Leah untucked her shirt...now that's a glitch in the Matrix moment....never seen that before. Will it continue? Guess we will see if she plays tonight. All love to Leah, with respect to Millie who I love, Leah is our England captain. ❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤🤍

Hello Sarah and Sara. Poor Reading are not doing very well as a club. My friend from there said at university they were up and coming, years back, when I was talking up Bradford City. Now they are following them again, but in the wrong direction and into financial trouble. There is a down side to coming under the same club as the men players. My friend is now an MP there and recently became Sir Alok, as I am sure I will have commented before. Despite being a typical northern bloke, I try to empathise with the relationship thing. I had a friend at university from a religion that would not have tolerated me being outside the religion, so although we both would have taken it further otherwise, I cared too much to put her in danger, as she was committed to her religion. I later played mixed pairs competitions at a sport where my partner was a lesbian, back when you just did not mention it. Her team mates in the women's game used to say they thought I would "turn" her, but we were pals, not close like the previous example. The world has changed a lot since I was young, but unfortunately not everyone understands the "Be reyt wi' folk!" principle yet.

I see it as a pat on our back who in our small way fought for visibility and acceptance . They are living their lives as one should live in our society . Normalised, being together as gay couple , that’s what we fought for . So thank you for that and no haters here please 🙏🏽

I am not a hater, just your typical straight American man. From my point of view, lesbians have it relatively easy. It's gay men who catch the most discrimination. Interestingly, for a woman to "cross dress" all she has to do is wear blue jeans and a t-shirt. I am, however, 100% against a person born male competing in women's sports.

a part of Tobin's story that no one really talks about is her involvement with Hillsong church. There is more than enough information out there on what happened in Hillsong, so I won't get into it but I think after being so let down by her faith, by meeting Christen and her own various spiritual practices, Tobin had her faith not only restored but repaired somewhat. I can totally understand why she'd want to protect her relationship at all costs, that has nothing to do with orientation.

I honestly don't understand why LGBTQ+ public figures are sometimes required to be Role Models. So what that they have famous names? So what that their faces are famous? So what that their voice is sometimes more audible?....Their heart is just like any other mortal, their soul is just like any other mortal, they have worries just like any of us, they feel fears just like any of us so why do we require them to do more than us? Before we expect someone to shoulder such a huge responsibility of being a role model especially in the LGBTQ+ community, which is not always met with acceptance, let's answer the question of whether we ourselves would shoulder such a responsibility. And let's answer one more question. Would we want something that is the most private and intimate aspect of our lives to be made available to everyone just because we are famous people? Let everyone have the right to as much privacy as they need.
