These new sportspal canoes are interesting to me because I have an old sportspal 14 that doesn't have those horizontal seams at all this new design doesnt seem to be as well constructed but probably easier to manufacture.

Another great video. I hope I never have to do this though.

This one did suck, but someone asked for it and a canoe came in with just this problem so what's a guy to do. Thanks for the ongoing support

What kind of sealant do you use
@GettenanyOutdoorsSportspal2 жыл бұрын
It's a marine sealant called adthane. Hard to find but if you email info@bwmarineproducts.com they will have some
@patrickflynn7560 Жыл бұрын
I an guessing the adthane sealeant is used on the inside as well.

That is correct 👌

Can a person just do the outside on the seam temporarily if it is not that bad a leak and then when summer is over do the inside and a complete job? Thanks in advance
@GettenanyOutdoorsSportspal Жыл бұрын
Absolutely, if you seal it well enough on the outside, you shouldn't need to do the inside unless it leaks along the keel.

@@GettenanyOutdoorsSportspal Oh Thank you very much for your reply I found two brand new sharp little slits punctures when I got home. Could of been damaged when they took it off the side of the house or in my pickup bed.Thought it was a seam but looked really close and sure enough 1/8th of an inch hairline slit. Good News Thanks again you are the best :-)
@GettenanyOutdoorsSportspal Жыл бұрын
Make sure it's clean and force some sealant through the slice and all should be fine good luck
