Hi guys, yeah I still plan on making these videos. I’ve just been super busy with work and family. I’m done with work around Mid-March and don’t have a new show lined up yet so I will be free around then to get back to these videos.

I can't wait for the Combat Phase video to drop! I've been painting my old Warmaster minis and plan to purchase a bunch of figures from Copplestone Castings to make an epic 10mm lotr game. Great to see Warmaster still has fans!!

Great video, loved it. Last year I found the Warmaster Revolution rules online and fell in love all over again. Still have the original rules as well. I bought a 3D resin printer lately and have been printing Skaven models I found on Thingiverse. Now I’m building a Wood Elf army from Frorest Dragon patreon. Can’t wait to play my first battle in years.

Hopefully the next video will not take as long to make. Right now, I imagine the Combat Phase video will have to be split into two parts in order to not have too long of a gap between releases. Thanks for watching!

@@onthelamgames That's ok, your production quality is very high so can appreciate they take a lot of time and effort. In the far future would you consider doing a battle report perhaps? I'd wager you have the production skill to make it quite dramatic.

Thanks! The plan is to do battle reports eventually but with social distancing in effect right now it makes it fairly difficult unless I do a solo battle. Right now I'm concentrating on the Learn to Play series since I don't have a ton of free time to record anything else at the moment. But once the LTP series if finished, yes definitely will do battle reports!

Fantastic little series, Just as i started looking at Warmaster! I picked up the orginal rulebook quite cheaply from a Charity shop, was intrigued by the rules did a little looking around, found out about WM:R and then found your show! Now off to Ebay to grab some Minis!

Thank you for the fantastic video. Please keep them coming. Since it's unlikely I'll ever find someone to teach me the game, your videos are a huge help. The only constructive criticism I have is at 15:55 (The Gap Rule). The measurement graphics should read 20 mm, not 20 cm.

Brilliant video. Many thanks. Fantastic scenery and miniatures too. I'm running the 'Battle of Five Armies' rules. Regarding movement, the 'Warmaster Revolution' rules seem to be the same.

Hi, the castle walls are old Forge World resin pieces they did. They’re long out of print unfortunately.

Thanks for these mate. Recently started trying to get myself and a couple of friends playing WM on Tabletop Simulator. I feel like this is obvious since it is rules-as-written, but wanted to double check: Do you still suffer the -1 command penalty when ordering a unit which is within 20cm of a unit that it cannot see? (enemy unit is to the side or their rear)

Yeah, still suffers the -1 for enemy proximity. The command penalties don’t rely on LoS.

9.39 do you need to issue orders for each sub brigades movement or do you just order the brigade then move sub brigade A to their goal and then move sub brigade B to their goal?

Per Page 17 of the WMR Compendium, each sub-brigade must be given separate orders if you split them off. Also any command penalties apply.

If you have a 3D printer, Forest Dragon’s Patreon will get you Wood Elves, Vampire Counts, and eventually Bretonnians. Excellent Miniatures sells Forest Dragon physical prints as well as other sculpts they do in house. Also Eureka Miniatures and Warmonger Miniatures do a line of metal 10mm sculpts suitable for Warmaster. Also Cromarty Forge does a bunch of armies. Hope that helps!

I designed the template and my friend at Crystal Fortress helped me laser cut it in acrylic. You can order one from him if you’d like, just go to www.crystal-fortress.com/ and email him about the Warmaster Revolution measuring tool. Just a warning though, they’re made to order so it’ll probably be fairly expensive if you only order one.

How many strips to a regiment of foot soldiers and how many for cav/chariots. Dumb question i know but I cant find it.

It’s discussed on the bottom of Page 9 in the call out box. For infantry it’s usually two rows of strips and for cavalry two columns. Chariots are one per stand.

What's the base size of things besides units? Heroes monsters etc?

If you're talking about character units, it's really up to you. I use 25mm rounds all the way up to 40mm rounds for the larger dragon riding characters. As long as you measure from the center of the model or a consistent spot everytime, it doesn't really matter what size the base is. If you're talking about the specific Monster unit type. It's typically a 4x2cm rectangle with the front being 2cm wide. Some other Monsters will say specifically what their base size is in the unit entry in the Armies PDF.

It’s acrylic. My friend at Crystal Fortress custom cut a design I came up with. If you email him he can custom cut some for you too. Just ask for the Warmaster movement template. www.crystal-fortress.com
