I liked your example. Although, I work from home I can use this to help with eliminating non value added time. Such as when I am on a call for a meeting that I am just listening and I do not need to add any input, I could utilize that time to get ahead on some work instead of thinking it is a break to go through my phone. This will help me a lot to maximize my time and avoid staying longer on the computer working when I could be off to balance out my work/life/after work homework etc. This is just one examples as there are other ways I would also utilize this method. I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the this training video. It was one of the best I've seen, and the example provided made the concept much easier to understand. Having examples like this for every concept would greatly enhance the learning experience. However, I did notice that when calculating value hours in the demonstration, there were no breaks included. I believe that incorporating short breaks, such as a 5-10 minute tea break, would be more realistic and practical. This is just a suggestion based on my personal preference.

Very well explained Goutham. I have experience of learning VSM in 6 sigma training that we had at workplace few years back. Same NVA elimination and then calculate process cycle efficiency. It took couple of rounds for us to understanding. Sharing complex concepts in a simpler way is a key element of knowledge sharing. You are doing that. Thanks a lot again!

The same issue we have but the same technique we can't follow as the whole 14 hours(From 8:00AM to 10:00 PM at least) are working even lunch time. To solve this issue I resigned from this company and looking for another now.

Pmp exam needs a lot of efforts and time spent : my value steam mapping is to re-org my time management : I worked 8 am to 8:30 pm. I have class from 8-11 pm , how can I study , weekend I have many this to do, and sometimes working, I can not cut my lunch hours, but I can wake up 7 am and starts doing work , save 1 hours to watch Pmp video during my day work, then 11-12 pm I will watch another hour video before going to bed. So I will have 2 hours to work on Pmp each day. Lol 😢
