Whenever I'm depressed, I remember that John also struggles, but he still goes out and does the thing that keeps him sane... That makes me feel better

"I think the secret is trying really hard" - That had me laughing and that's skateboarding in a nutshell :D :D

Your skateboarding insanity to try tricks a 100 million times is really inspiring, you get out there and get it when a lot of people would give up; keep going!

good job thats a hard one! i go through the same mental process when im learning new things or trying on new obstacles

Love seeing Pros also struggle with tricks instead of just highlight reels that show how great they are. Makes them more human and me feel less bad for attempting a trick 20 times to land it once. It's actually motivating.

What a great trick. It looked fantastic, actually. I'm so glad you got it. I hope your knee is okay.

Hey John, how would you define your speed, how fast or slow you wanna go when you're approaching an obstacle, stairs/ledge etc? Hope you can do a video about this.

I'm not really any good at skateboarding but I totally get that feeling of trying to do 2 or 3 things at once. When I focus on item A, I can't do item B and vice versa. If only I could do BOTH things at the same time!

John what happened to the video of you skating at that high school? It was up on your main channel a few days ago but then got taken down the same day.

I think the real skate shoes helped to keep you going as they imho lower the impact of jumping down stuff so many times and so you could try more often 😉

John your mental during the attempts to land it. Risky area to play in habits wise, its curious since ive been there. Most skaters been there. At the end of the day, it will come down to consistency and ability. As in, are you able to consistently give the try the effort you meant to give or are you away from that goal for some reason? Whenever we are approaching a difficult trick or line that feels harder than it should, we should consider re evaluating self validating our previous efforts. Maybe here we can gather the transcendental fortitude to push beyond our know how and committ to new achievements. Just a blurb. Keep killing it
